Blinking blue light and loud fan

When does the "blinking blue light" appear? As far as the loud fan is concerned, it is possible that your computer has dust built-up inside the case. Open it and try to clean it (GENTLY) with a blower, or a can of compressed air (do NOT use a vacuum cleaner). Specially clean the fan in the middle of the case.

The fan keeps running and the blue light around the power button doesnt turn on

There might be something wrong with the connection between the light to your main board. You can open the chase and see whether there are broken wiring between the front pane of your machine and some ports on your main board.

Computer turns on leaves message and cuts off

this means that your cpu fan is facing some problems so its better change it or else your pc will encountered on and off. you can use it for 2-5 minutes then turned off automatically and you will notice the the lights is still on.

Blue power light does not come on when i turn the comp on

there is either a motherboard/cpu issue (worst case), or a power supply issue (best case, cheap and easy fix)...

without being there looking at it i can't really tell you more. if you happen to have a spare ATX power supply, open the machine and plug it in to the system instead of the old one to see what happens.

if you don't have a spare, you obviously have another working computer you're posting from so maybe borrow it's power supply and see what happens.

GT5220 won't turn on

My motherboard was replaced twice by the gateway people. Luckily I bought it at costco and it has a two year warranty through them because gateway didn't want to deal with me until costco techies made them. I have the same model and had the same problem

Sorry, I summarized the problem in the 'add details' Section

If you are capable of opening the case and reseating your memory and video card, try that first.

Fan is running, power button with blue light is off, cpu won't boot up

Your cpu might have died. As the computer is starting tap F8 and choose last known good configuration to see if you can get it started.
