Question about Sony Televison & Video
Dont think that it is a case of resettting but a possible failure in the main board. The power supply works but is in the protect mode and so it switches offf. the faultt can vary with a faulty capacitorr to a shorted drvier.
It is important to open and look for the voltage short in the circuit by using a good multimeter and opening out the shorted circuit to confirm. Use a continuity test to check for short in large value capacitor/ display drivers/transformers.
If you notice bad solder joints do a touch up solderring job with care not to tamper or bridge circuits.
Credit if this helps.
