You will not be able to do that with a 4 channel amp. You can with a two channel amp, but not a 4 channel amp. You can get, depending on the amp, 300 from half of the amp to one speaker.

Hey i have a sony amp (600 watt xm-zr604) with 2 10"sub(sony xplod).when i raise the volume hight enough the amp go off(red light came on) what can i try

sounds as though (at high volumes) the amp thinks it has a short circuit. This may be caused by the way you have them connected.
Speakers have a resistance and amps needs a certain amount of resistance to function right (too little resistance = short circuit)
The way it works out for the speakers is, if the two are connected to one amp output channel, the amp will see half of the resistance of a single sub. (4 Ohms/sub amp sees 2 Ohms)
If the amp instructions say that it's 4 Ohms/channel then you need to use 1 channel for each sub.
Hope this has been some help.

What kind of amp do i need for 2 kicker ds6930 140 watts peak and 2 ks6930 6x9 watts peak 150 and 3 Kicker KS350 3-1/2 40 watts each peak

600 Watt to 1000 Watt 4 CHANNEL AMP for the four 6X9's and a less powerfull 4 Channel amp thats at least 200Watts to 400Watts peak for the 3 3-1/2 kicker speakers. Because if you try to connect the 3 3-1/2 speakers to only 1 4 channel amp that the 6X9 speakers are on you risk of overheating the amp and blowing the speakers too!!!

Hi,just bought a 6x9 jbl gto937 speakers for my car, each speaker is 100watt rms and 300 max .Can anybody advice on what amplifier should i get for them?I know i can run them without any amp but think they...

Pyramid makes the PB series of amps. I have one that's driving a Sub.
The PB 700 puts out rms 60watts x 2 @ 2ohms, which gives you some "headroom" for your speakers. You don't want to over drive speakers with , for example, a 1000 watts for 100 watt speakers, because that's a good way to blow your speakers.
There are many brands and models of amps that will fit your speakers. Just make sure the amp will drive 2ohm speakers, since your jbl's are rated at 2ohm impedance.
You may want to consider adding a Sub woofer to your setup. A single Sub would fill in the low end very nicely. If you got a 4 channel amp, then two channels will drive your jbl's, and you can bridge the other two channels to drive the Sub. That would be a kick'n sound!
Just make sure the amp is bridgeable
For example, the Pyramid PB 1200 is a 4 channel, bridgeable amp. This particular amp will drive the 2ohm jbl's, but you would want a 4 or 8 ohm Sub connected to the bridged channels.

    Amplifier loads

    Hello ronnieyannon,
A single 4 ohm speaker wired to each channel, like you have them wired, presents a 4 ohm load. And it appears that you have them connected properly. The 401s is only stable to 4 ohms when bridged, so if you were to parallel the 2 4 ohm subs in bridged mode, the load would be 2 ohms and the amp would most likely overheat and go into protection.

I'd wire them the way you have them wired.

Each channel of the amp outputs only 100 watts into 4 ohms. That is adequate for regular full-range speakers, component speakers, mid-range drivers, and even some small subs. But it is a little low on power for most subwoofer applications.

    Hope this helps.

I have two 15 inch L7 Solo-Baric Subwoofers and need an amp

I would recommend a brand named class D amplifier.
Connect both woofers in parallel (Positive to positive, and negetive to negetive) in a sealed enclosure. Make sure you have no air leaks. By connecting them in parallel the combined impedance will be two ohms. Make sure that the amplifier you choose can handle a load with that low of a resistance. Any high end amp should do this. Buy as much power as you can, but I would say a minimum of 1000W RMS. Beware of cheaper amps advertising "peak power". This can be considered half of what the RMS power would be (1200W peak = 600W RMS approximately).

Next, Run very heavy gauge (zero guage if you can) power line directly from the battery. Protect the wire where it passes through the body with a rubber grommet or otherwise something to keep the metal from cutting into it, and PUT A FUSE IN. I cant stress that enough. Put an 80 amp fuse in line incase you have an accident. Otherwise your car could very well burn!

    Want even more punch?
Back at the amp, install the largest stiffener capacitor you can afford 1 Farad or bigger. Install this in a space where it would be protected in the event of an accident (on the inside of the strut tower or somewhere above the axle). There is a whole lot of energy stored in there that you don't want unleashed on you!

If you have any other questions please ask away!
