What is the strength of a joist hangar for a 2by 8? It has six nails straight in the face board and four through the joist at an angle.

If the hanger has an LUS it's 18 gauge. If it has LU it's 20 ga. for light loads, ceiling joists. For floor joists you should use HU 14 Ga.,or HUS 16 Ga. These # come out of Simpson strong -tie book. -

I inherited a Bosch T31 bradder and stapler. Couldn't get any help at Home Depot chosinga nails. Bought Porter Cable 16 Ga. 1" finish nails (PFN16100-1). Released arm and slid the nail carrier...

BOSTITCH T31-1 stapler & T31-2 STAPLER and NAILER. Both use 18 gauge (very fine gauge wire). Try using 18 gauge Bostitch staples (used in BT model bostitch staplers). Good Luck

Bostitch bt50b makes a plop sound but driver does not come down

This most often happens because of a leak in one or more of the O-rings or a lack of lubrication. The plunger is not in the proper position and doesnot have enough power to move the plunger or the plunger assy moves only enough to clear the relief valve for reset. In any case, the unit shouldbe taken apart, cleaned and relubed. This may be enough to resolve the problem. I would change the O-rings at the same time and be sure to lubricate them.

I have a central pneumatic 16 ga. nailer how do I get parts !!!

Central Pneumatic is a Harbor Freight brand, if parts are available for that item it would be though them. http://www.harborfreight.com/contact-customer-service Hopefully they can get you what you need. If not unfortunatly that nailer will be a throw-away. If you need to replace this nailer I would recommend spending the extra money and buying a name brand nailer like Porter-Cable or Bostitch, besides both being reputable brands, they offer factory service, parts and rebuild kits for their nailers.
