A few things to check but I think it might be could be faulty oven temperature sensor. So Check sensor harness and connection between oven sensor and oven control. Replace oven temperature sensor if wiring is ok.

I would also test the touchpad.

This simple test will help determine whether the ERC (Electronic Range Control or Clock) or the touch pad is defective when F1 error code is present.

Note: Some models incorporate the touch pad in to the ERC as a single assembly, in which case this test is not necessary. Simply replace the ERC (Clock).

Warning: If you feel in any way uncomfortable performing this test or making this repair, please contact a qualified appliance repair technician.

1. Disconnect power to the range (unplug the range power cord or turn the power off to the range at the circuit breaker). It is very important that the power to the range has been disconnected, so please double check before continuing.
2. Gain access inside the control panel.
3. Disconnect the touch pad (also called keypad or membrane switch) ribbon from the ERC.
4. Make sure there are no lose wires, or anything else that may cause a short when power is turned back on. Assemble the control panel back the way it was.
5. Turn the power back on.
6. Wait for at least one hour to see if the F1 code comes back (usually accompanied by a beeping sound).
7. If F1 comes back, replace the ERC. If it does not, replace the touch pad.

Those steps are for an F1 error, not the F33.

Frigidaire Oven doesn't turn off at set temperature

Hello - From what you have described it sounds like the electric range could possibly be experiencing a communication issue with the EOC, wiring harness or faulty element. Try resetting the unit by unplugging it or flipping the breaker off. Wait approximately ten minutes and turn on oven. If proves to be ineffective, contact a professional to move forward accurately.

I selected "proof" and turned the oven on this

F33 ( upper oven over temperature while cooking ) Check sensor should read 1080 ohms at room temp.

You will need to replace the oven temperature sensor. There is no quick fix for this problem to get you up and running on this Thanksgiving day, sorry. Where are you located and I will see what resources are close to you so you can make the repair?

I have a frigidaire range/stove. I was roasting dinner at 300 then turn the oven up to 400 near the end. Shortly after there was a pop that sounded like it came from inside the oven. I thought a potato...

F1
  • The F1 code indicates a control failure. Try pressing a key to see if it displays on the screen. If not, the keypad may have shorted and requires replacement. If the keypad is fine, there is perhaps a problem with the internal checksum; disconnect the power for 30 seconds and reconnect it. If the code remains, you must replace the electronic oven control (EOC). If the F1 code appears when the oven is running, it means that the oven senses an overheating condition. Use an external thermometer to check the temperature inside the oven. If it is accurate, it means that either the temperature sensor probe or the control relay has malfunctioned. Disconnect the power, and inspect the sensor probe, replacing it if necessary. If the oven is actually overheating, replace the EOC. If the oven is allowed to overheat, the resulting damage is possibly so extensive that the entire oven may require replacement.

I have thermador double oven (I think it is model sec30 something-cannot read it) which i have had for 3 years with consistant problems with F33 displaying. Can you help me in telling me how I can reset...

In 30+ years of servicing I have replaced very few oven sensors due to failure. True, a sensor may need to be replaced, but there is also another possibility and a much cheaper solution at that.
If you look at the two soldered pins where the sensor wires attach at the oven relay board, you may find them to have heat fractures in the solder around one or both. These are very hard to see with the untrained eye, but any small fracturing will change the sensor reading to the main board. Therefore it is important to re-solder these pins at the relay board.
This is a job for a qualified service Tech and should not be attempted by the average DIYer.

Amana Self-cleaning Oven flashes F2 and F3 and beeps. It doesn't get real hot. Although it does heat up not the appropriate temperature.

Hi, F2 error code on the Amana Oven means "Oven too hot" You have to replace Oven temperature sensor to fix it.
F3 error code means "Open or shorted oven temperature sensor". Yo also have to replace Oven temperature sensor to fix it.

Summarily, both code has to do with the temperature sensor which you need to replace...
