Sometimes there are other folders and the pictures can be hidden.
Also make sure to check internal memory with the card removed. Remove the memory card, turn on the camera and check if any of the pictures are on the internal memory.

Also, use a card reader for the computer instead of using the camera connected to the computer.
With a card reader you may be able to see the folders (if any) and retrieve your pictures.
Never delete any pictures or edit them from the computer to the camera. This can cause corruption and loss of pictures and files.

Always download (copy) them from the camera on to the computer.

How do I download a picture from a camera to the computer?

Just connect the USB cable that came with the camera to the computer. Make sure that your camera is on when you do this. Your computer will automatically detect the camera. The camera should show an menu that says TRANSFER. Choose that option.

Hi,
DSC-W35 / 55 is plug and play camera, hook it with computer through USB cable, Windows will recognize it automatically and will install required drivers.
You will see Mass Storage device icon in My Computer, click it to see pictures of camera. No need of software cd installation, Windows has inbuilt drivers for this camera.
Thanks.

I have lost the software sent with the camera and I want to put my pictures onto my computer

1. When you connect the camera to the PC, by default it will install the neccessary drivers required to show the camera as an "Removable Drive".

2. You can goto "My Computer" and copy all the pictures from the camera to the PC in simple 'cut-copy-paste' style.

3. If your system donot show / detect the camera, download the driver and software for that camera model.

4. Install the software and restart your system.

I have a new computer and I have lost any software for my canon powershot a700 digital camera. When I connect my camera to my computer I am unable to access the pictures? Do I need to download software?

windows has its own scanner/camera wizard.
it should start up automaticly when you plug in your camera.
try a different usb port.
otherwise plug in the camera to your computer and then go to "my computer" and look for a icon that corrosponds with your camera. then open it and open the folders in that directory until you find your pictures.
