How do I get water out from INSIDE the bottom liner beneath the fruit & veggie bins? There is a small crack in the liner and water is leaking out from it.

My name is Peter, I am a retired Sears Home Services Tech. This could be a serious problem. When your liner cracks, moisture gets into your liner - it freezes and expands cracking the liner.
You need to get a hair dryer . Heat the area. Try to get as much liquid our of the cracked area. Be patient, You need to get a good Silicone water proof sealant. If you do not dry out the insulation material the problem will continue. Please let me know how you

Hello Tracey,

On that the best thing i can tell ya is "the squeeky wheel gets the oil" their is not part that can be replaced to fix the liner. The entire refrigerator must be replaced to remedy that crack.

By keeping on them while in the warranty period Whirlpool may relent and give ya new refrigerator

Broken water dispensing tube

you h ave a project in front of you. you are going to have to remove the door entirely from the cabinet, including electrical and water line connections. you will then have to remove the inner door liner and gasket, to access behind the dispenser module. you will need to pull the line out from the bottom, carefully, and replace with new water line, then replace gasket and liner, and reattach door.

Good luck.

Moisture is accumulating on top of the freezer due to a small crack. is it safe?

its safe but will be a pain
if you have a small crack in the liner
you can buy white tin tape and get a good seal again
but if you willing to deal with it
and wipe it down alot
you will be fine

Broken crisper shelf supports

What up G? (jk)

Look, I'm not really sure about this, but it sounds like you may have a warranty issue here. The reason I believe this is because those supports are actually part of the liner (which CAN NOT be removed, btw) and the liner should have a really kickin' warranty behind it. Check your owner/user manual for warranty info and see if I'm correct.

If I'm wrong then it's gonna be a pain to ever keep those supports in place. Whirlpool had a liner problem not long ago and "issued" an authorized repair for it which utilized an epoxy resin and other materials. But if memory serves, that was just for cracks in the liner, not functional parts of the liner breaking away.

Hope this helps,
SG

My maytag side by side model #RSW22EODAM refrigerator door has a

If all you need are shims, use washers (either plastic or metal) with an interior hole large enough to go over hinge pin to raise door. However, in reading your complaint, I feel as though shims (or washers) may not solve your problem. You may have an issue with the door seal and or door liner. Sometimes a new seal will correct the problem but check for any cracks in the door liner. If cracks are evident, you will need to replace both. Putting a door seal on a cracked liner will NOT help. If you need to replace both, it can get a little costly. Good luck.

There are hair line cracks in the side wall panel of the inside lining of the refrigerator that run parallel to one of the shelves. Any thoughts? Kitchen Aid S/S REFRIG. KSRG25FKSS

im thinking you got a cracked refrigerator liner!! heres the problem with that, its strictly a cosmetic issue, in years past kit aid would consider that a non-field repairable issue and change to refrig out for you.now they've come out with a repair, consisting of an epoxy kit that we go out and epoxy the crack(s) for you, although still noticeable far less than a cracked liner. if necessary and enough cracks in wall they have an epoxy liner kit that will cover entire side wall of the refrig, all depends on the affected area. ive done quite a few epoxy repairs, never a complete panel, but the few epoxy repairs ive done the customer seemed satisfied with the result..again strictly cosemtic issue so ifyou leave it alone oyou will be endangering absolutly nothing exept an unsightly crack.

Frig liner is cracking

I have the same problem on my 3 year old Kenmore Refrigerator. I cleaned out the refrigerator and noticed the cracks. I don't know how long they've been there. I called the service guy out and he said it's a known problem. He said the plastic wasn't poured right into the mold. He told the only solution is a silicon type caulking or a patch. The patch involved cutting pieces of liner from a sheet and basically glueing them over the cracks. BOTH SOLUTIONS are unacceptable. I am beginning the process of complaining (lot of good it will do). If this is a known defect, SEARS should stand by their product and make it good.
