Question about Televison & Video
Possible that there is a solder joint problem in the main board. Since the TV comes on after you try to put the plug in several times, then this is quite possible. Use a good soldering iron to do this touch up job specially on high power components and on the suspected IC joints.
If you put the set On for some hours and then by tapping if the TV comes on then this fault is confirmed. Also please look for faulty capacitors, for capacitors that has leaked or reduced in value- look for bulged capacitor tops.
Please take care to attampt this job and not to tamper.
Hope this advice helps?
