Hi
There is a seal on top of the machine under the water tank. To get to it, remove the water tank, and set aside. There is a large doughnut shaped cap on top of the machine. Slip a screwdriver on the outside edge of the cap and pry up gently. When it snaps up, go to the other side of the cap and do the same. There is a black seal in the center and if you stick your finger in the center and it lifts out, it need to be replaced. Clean any residue inside the opening with a Q-tip.
When you get the new seal, it won’t slip in. Insert it at a slight angle (double lips down), then take your finger nail and run it around the bottom edge of the seal until it slips in, then push down. Snap the cap back on and your set to go.

Hotpoint refrigerator leaking water from hose underneath

It sounds like this may be coming from the icemaker water valve. If the refrigerator is an older one the tubing gets brittle and cracks. Check this first. But the water valve is usually on the left side in the back.

My Samsung WD-1255c washing machine is leaking water from underneath. The problem is getting worst with time. Any idea what this might be and how to fix it?

Raise the machine up in the air using 2x4s. I use short pieces about 10 inches long under the legs. start by tipping the machine to the side and put one under the front leg. The sides can be sharp so use gloves. don't lift on the machine just tip it to the side and then have a helper stick the 2x4 under the leg. I have used a stout piece of 1 inch as a lever to lift the sides up. put the one inch under the edge of the machine only about 2 inches in. then use a short 2x4 as a fulcrum set it under the one inch wood close to the machine. push down on the other end and it lifts the machine up . put 2x4s under each leg. (4 legs). now get out a bright light and look under the machine. can you see a drip? if so note where the drip is comming from so you will no what part you need to fix. To get under the machine to fix the leak you need to tip it way over. Unplug the machine from the wall (for safety) then tip it over to the left or right. if you don't have room to tip it over you will need to make room or move the machine to where it has room. Be careful not to bump the water connections agains the wall as they are plastic and can break. once you can see underneath you should see white water residue where the leak has been comming from. Plastic can be glued or replaced and loose hoses can be tighten up. Use what ever it takes I like pulmbers goop and duct tape. if it still leakes you need to do more but it should be fixable unless there is a crack in the metal housing.

Hi
If its leaking under the water tank, its this.
If its leaking under the machine, its your boiler.
If its leaking into the dredge drawer, its the thiumbscrew in the brew unit, that holds the filter screen in.
If its under your drip tray there is a pocket behind the brew unit that has a cloged drain, just above the center of the drip tray in back.

My franklin chef FIM200 is dripping water from the back, right side. The water fill valve was spraying out above the tray, we managed to get that under control, but, water is dripping right behind that...

Try putting a compression coupling in eliminating the valve. Did that on my machine a few months back, have not had any more leaks. Just other issues with thick ice and won't harvest correctly. Any suggestions?

Whirlpool Fridge makes a loud dripping sound all the time G56SHE

Erin,

The water you hear sounds like it's coming from the automatic defroster in the freezer compartment. It runs down a drain tube into the pan you describe under the fridge. The pan is heated and evaporates the water.

Just some possible explanations if you are hearing "lots" of water"

* You may be in a warmer, more humid climate
* The temperature and humidity in your dwelling is elevated
* The door gasket on the freezer may be leaking
* The freezer is too full
* The freezer door is not closing properly
* The freezer door is being left open for extended periods
* There is a problem with the defrost cycle

If you are hearing water running all the time, check the ice maker water line and fill valve (if you have an ice maker) - there could be a leak or other malfunction.

We find water under the coffeemaker in the morning.

Sounds like a leaking water pipe from the water source, unless you have a over temp heater and this results in steam and dripping.
