HP laptop keyboard problem

An all-purpose cleaner got split on my keyboard and it no longer works at all. Is there anything that can be done or can the keyboard be replaced in the laptop? If so, how much does that usually cost? Thank you ~Jenn

If you know how to open laptop. there is a ribbon cable that goes into the main motherboard from the keyboard.replace the keyboard, don't try to "clean" it. the all-purpose cleaner could have damaged the internal contacts
If you have internet access look up your laptop name & model #, then type " keyboard replacement" for your model
If u send me your model, name, number, I'll try to peek for you..

Problem with g62 keys on my hp notebook

Radio Shack makes a No Residue Electronics Cleaner for about $8.00, USE SPARINGLY. If that does not work, you can look on Ebay and get a replacement keyboard for less than $50.00 delivered. There are YouTube videos that show how simple it is. I have never done a HP. Only a Dell.

A glass of wine was spilled on my laptop. It would still power up but the screen was black. Now it won't even power up. Is it worth getting repaired, or should I get a new one?

You should fully disassemble the laptop & thoroughly inspect its inside. Look for any traces of liquid on the circuit boards & on other components. On circuit boards, liquid damage appears in the form of whitish traces. These needs to be wiped off. This can be done using a tooth brush moistened with few drops of hand sanitizer liquid.
Check all internal connectors & make sure that no liquid seeped into them. Dry them if needed.
When you are done, re-assemble back the laptop.
If the liquid fell on the keyboard & you found out that the keyboard is no longer working, then you will have to replace the keyboard.

If it still does not work, the motherboard might be damaged & needs to be replaced.

My son poured water on my laptop. I let it air dry for about 3 days. This is not covered by the warranty. it powers up but the screen will not come on. what do I do?

First thing is to not try powering the laptop on after the water fell on it. Next, you should remove the battery off the laptop immediately. When this is done, you should fully disassemble the laptop & thoroughly inspect its inside. Look for any traces of water on the circuit boards & on other components. try reinstalling the driver of the new keyboard. maybe the system didn't recognize it. or the flat cable of the keyboard is not inserted properly on the socket. double check it. to ensure the keyboard is working.

Are you sure that you have inserted the strip connector correctly into the motherboard connector? If not fully inserted before closing the pressure clips it may not connect properly.
