Hi.

That happens when the detergent drawer is clogged with rest of detergent.

Try pouring hot water mixed with citric acid (white vinegar also works but is smelly), use a boiler/kettle if possible and take care not to hurt yourself with the hot water. Ensure that there is no load and eventually disconnect power.

Pull out the dispenser drwawer and see if there is a blockage at the bottom of dispenser.
In that case clean the blockage.

On some machine there is a solenoid operated plastic tab at the bottom of the dispenser, in that case check the solenoid.

If machine is not filling at all, check inlet hose, inlet valve and pressure switch.

If that does not fix the problem, then the machine must be disassembled to reach the detergent drawer outlet and unblock it.

Water leaks from my detergent dispenser from my front loader washing machine?

This is usually indicative of soemthing blocking the flow of water out of the soap tray, down the connecting pipe and in to the drum chamber.
The soap tray doesnt have any seals as water should just flow into the tray, wash out the soap / fabric softner, and then flow out the back of the tray and down the connecting pipe. When working correctly, there is no pressure or water back-up to cause the water to reach the front of the soap tray.

Take out the tray - your machine user manual will show you how, and check both the tray itself and the "hole" it slots in to for either a build up of solidified soap powder, or some other foreign object. If still leaking, remove the tray again and try to get your hand (a woman's or teenager's hand being smaller is best) down the large oulet at the back of the "hole" the tray slots in to to feel for a blockage.
Do you have young children ? A washing machine soap tray is a great place to hide things !

Occasionally, if the smaller pipes that deliver hot and cold water to the tray come adrift, this can spray water at the front of the machine. This water then has only one real way out - via the soap tray "hole". Most often this will be the cold water pipe as this has higher water pressure to cope with. The only way to check this is to take the top of the machine off.

If after all of the above it still leaks, you'll either need to dismantle the machine enough to see the back of the soap tray "hole", connecting pipe and drum chamber for a better look for problems, or call an engineer.

Fabric softener not dispensing

Fabric softner trays often clog up, because a little soap powder in the tray by accident tends to block it. If you pull the soap tray out as far as it will go, you will see that there is a bit of the tray right at the back, probably on the left with an arrow or thumb print or indentation in it. If you press down on this it is a catch and it will allow you to remove the tray from the machine completely. Once out of the machine, the fabric softner cover will also lift out. Clean everything throroughly (Tak it outside and turn your garden hose full pressure on all the holes on the tray and then scrub it out with a toothbrush. Put the fabric softner tray mabc in and slide the soap tray back in the machine. This should have fixed it.

Softner won't drain

Sir,

if you mean that the softner (from the detergant drawer) will not enter the drum during the normal cycle, then....

the softner has become solid, you need get hot water and get the hardened softner loose within the pipe to the drum clear.

I suggest using a solid electrical cable core to clear it

Softner remaining

Try diluting the softener, some softener are too thick. But first clean out the softenre tray, by pulling it out, or with a tooth brush. Do look into your user manual. Does water enter the soft tray, check this too.

Gunge in detergant tray

You should scrub it off with sanitizer. It is recommended to use gloves for it. Good luck !!
