Question about Kodak EasyShare M883 Digital Camera
The camera is shutting off because on start up there is an error on the main controller . Remove the battery and if possibel check if the current capacity of the battery is good enough. Most often the voltage will be shown but the current (Ah) will be less. So use a load to check if possible or try on a similar camera just to make sure. Remove the memory card , check for virus , format and reset.
Try the battery back, if fault recurrs then you will have to open to check if the electronic board is not getting the correct data on switch on but has some errors -- possible load factors in circuit- to switch off.
Might have to disconnect flash unit to check, if not the lens or shutter drive could be faulty.
hope this helps.
