Hmmm...sounds like a printer driver issue..check the essential 2.01 site for postscript drivers..

I keep getting error state message on my Cannon MG5400 series printer


I checked the cannon web site for solutions to this and found I would need more information... like what is you operation system. Essentially though the site is very helpful and easy to navigate. A tip... in the search window at the top of their site... type in MG5400.

Windows essential installation fail


Hi
Im using windows 7 unlimited legit copy bought pre installed on acer aspire laptop
All updates done and current
Firewall is on. Uninstalled all previous versions of essential and deleted folders in program files. Also uninstalled avg anti virus to no avail.

I have noticed it is only windows photo gallery & movie maker that wont install. (Which is what i want) i have went as far back as essential 2009. Also on clean boot / safe boot start up mode. Still getting same error... really really stumped people.. laptop & windows 7 desktop pc both doing this.

Error code :0x80070643

all explained at above post essentially you need to download the right drivers, and ensure print spooler is enabled too.

HP Guru Needed!!! Subsystem spooler printer errors, trayapp.msi and HP Photosmart Essential.msi errors.


Best solution is to download the latest AIO software package from the HP site and install with that. Just make sure you get the right package (32-bit or 64-bit).

try to install and reinstall the printer cartridge...and also clean the tab circuit of the cartridge and tab circuit of the printer carrier..

if the problem still exist..
rebreak the printer by full-out the power supply...to reset the settings and then turn it back...
