Question about Computers & Internet

Open Question

I have APC make Back-UPS ES 500. The battery is about 2year old. The regulated Output voltage of the UPS at the battery backup points i.e. when on battery mode shows only 170Volts. It is supposd to give 230volts. The battery shows 13.8 volts DC. Please let me know the possible solution for the problem. I would appreciate getting a copy of the circuit diagram of the said UPS. Is this online or offline e-mail? Sounds like a problem within GMAIL. Did you ask them the question? After all it is their software. Could be some kind of spyware or virus. You sound angry at the people here and we did not write the program. How are you checking your mail?

SOURCE: load image failed,

Try the volume + method, and see if the screen will relight. If it does, then you can change the mode in the menu.

Worst case: use the manual (available from Sansa's website - e200 series) - and do a blind menu fix - you will have to move the up and down buttons precisely, or the "blind" method will fail

These are the most common methods for recovering Sandisk's Sansa Mp3 Players. I have been almost universally successful in recovering Sansa players using one or a combination of these methods. These methods do not work if you are having synchronization or music format issues - they are for recovering a player that will not power up, freezes, flashes, is not recognized by the computer, and a host of other issues.

Reset the Sansa Player first. On most models, restart is done by holding the power button in for 15 seconds or longer. Check your specific manual to be sure. The manuals are available from the Sansa website if they have been misplaced.
Download the Sansa Recovery Tool from the Sansa website.
Format - Erases Everything: Connect your Sansa player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "Sansa 1GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything.
Firmware Upgrade- Erases Everything: Get the latest firmware upgrade from Sansa - it updates the firmware and erases every song in the player all at once. Note: this method doesn't work if already have the latest firmware. Go to this website and click "Firmware Updater" to find out: http://www.sandisk.com/DriverDownload/driverList.asp
If these fail, then:
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
If you get the problem where MTP Device keeps popping up continuously, uninstall the “MTP Device” by going to Start à Control Panel àSystem à Hardware à Device Manager (you computer may vary slightly, depending on Windows Version).
You may have to restart your computer after each of these methods to get them to work properly. Disconnect your Sansa player BEFORE shutting down your computer.

SOURCE: AOL e-Mail error reads: An

1) Reinstall the AOL software, available here

2) If that doesn't help, you need to check your hard drive for errors:

Close any open programs.
Open My Computer, right click on your hard drive (probably C:)
Click Properties. Choose Tools, then Error Check, Check now. Select both checkboxes and press Start.

The computer may prompt you to reboot, let it do that.

This should resolve the issue.

SOURCE: UPS Switching off while working

Hi kumaraswamy5,
it seems that either the UPS is connected to an outled which isn't grounded properly or the battery inside of the UPS needs a replacement.
On APC's website you can find the compatible batteries for your device and where to order them. Replacing the batteries is very easy so don't be afraid of that!

APC BACK-UPS ES 500VA fails to provide back up during power failure

Get APC Powerchute Personal Edition for free and run it. If it says your battery isnt charged, check its voltage disconnected. Charge it with a car battery charger and see if its still a good battery. If not , replace it. If the battery is good, then check the charging voltage. Should be about 14 volts. if not, check the small transformer on the main board. Should be 120 in and 17 to 18 out. 4 diodes in a bridge for charge. The input to the transf has small fuse into it alone.

UPS shuts off intermittently and beeps

More than likely it just needs a new battery. If the power is sagging (called a brownout) the UPS is trying to switch over to the battery to keep the power consistent. The beeping is probably a code that indicates there is an issue with low voltage on the battery. New batteries are around $20-25. Here's a link to the replacement battery: http://batteryinternational.com/apc-backups-es-be350es-ups-battery-ups-batteries-f1.html

Hope that helps.

APC Back-UPS ES 350 - when powered on has a blinking green light Is this normal

A blinking green light is likely an indication that the internal battery is nearing the end of its usable life cycle. If it's over 3 years old this is likely the case. To test, plug something in to the battery outlets and pull the plug of the UPS from the wall. If you get a short runtime (or none at all) it's the battery. Batteries are under $20 and can be found here: http://www.batteryinternational.com/apc-backups-es-be350u-ups-battery-ups-batteries-f1.html

that's a sure sign that you are in low battery condition, and the inverter is approaching shutdown. You may need to either deep recharge the batteries, with NO load, or replace them completely.
