I have a 13 month troybilt honda 160cc push mower with automatic choke. The two wires have come off the carburator and I can't figure out where they go to put them back. The side of the carburator nearest the air filter has one hole for a wire and the other side of carburator has one small hole and one larger. One of the wires has a spring in the center and is very flexible the other is stiff. I know they both connect to the arm in the back of the mower. I have two wires and three holes. Also when the automatic choke is pushed to the position to start should the butterfly flap be shut or open.

What is your engine model Number? The Engine number should be just behind the oil fill tub on the crankcase base. The Engine MODEL number will be GX_ 160_ but the actual engine number will be different. We need both the Make Honda GX ??? and the Engine Number. Thanks,
    Kelly

Dont know much about the carb wires but the butterfly flap should be shut when starting and then should open when running.

Need diagram of a MTD walk behind mower with honda 160cc engine with ARCS option

Remove air filter cover. Remove air filter. Remove the 3 10mm screws mounting the air filter housing assembly and carb to motor. You will need new gaskets to install the new carb. Gaskets: 16221-883-800 2ea., 16212-ZL8-000, 16228-ZL8-000, and the gasket for the back of the air cleaner mount 17228-ZMO-000. You can buy the carb for these on line for about $14, 16100-Z0L-023. Most take a NGK PLUG BPR6ES.

Troy bilt lawn mower

This is not a common problem. The bolts are at fault. You can replace them and it will work but make sure they are the right bolts and you put them in tight.

Troybilt push mower will not start

Might be bad gas. Empty tank refill with fresh gas with Stabile. Might have to remove carb bowl clean and reinstall. Flush out tank with a little gas before refilling, disconnect fuel line to flush.

Hi bairboys,

Here is a link for your owner's manual: http://weborder.husqvarna.com/order_static/doc/HOUS/HOUS2009/HOUS2009_532430880.pdf

The instruction and belt diagram are on page 13.

Hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate a 4 thumbs up. Thanks,

Mower will only run in choke position

Partially obstructed main jet. Remove carb bowl and clean main jet with small strand of wire. Drain carb bowl and clean out any dirt or rust.

Good luck and be careful.

Lawn mower husqvarna problem

I have an XT721F self-propelled, auto choke Husqvarna mower. The first time I used it this season it ran for a short time and then just quit on me. I have since emptied out all of the gas and have replaced it with high octane 91, and have also added Seafoam to clean out any other issues. I mowed two weeks ago with no problems and went to mow again today and only made it through 2/3 of my back yard and the mower stalled out on me again. What's going on?
