Extend disk in Ms Cluster with exchange 2003

By Brad - usenet poster

Hi.
I have a big problem just now:
We have a San from IBM FastT900 and i needed to extend one of my storage
groups in the exchange cluster.
First i extended the Lun on the san=Ok
Then i run a Ibm specific command line tools for hootadd the extended disk
area=Ok
After that I run diskpart against volume i wanted to extend=Ok
Atfer that i run diskmanager  and that tells me i have succesfully extended
the disk.

But when i browse my comtuer it still list the old diskspace?????
I Have tried to restart the Node but get the same result.
If i stopp the cluster service then the system list the disk space ok but as
soon i
start the cluster service it list the old configuration again.

Is it possible to have the cluster to rescan the disk? I Found a article
that applys to this problem but for Nt4 Cluster.

I run Windows 2003 Enterprise Ed with Exchnage 2003 Enterprise ed on it.

Please can someone help me out with this?

The utility is called fsextend. Not sure if there's a public version
available...so you're better off calling MSFT.

Hi Rodney.
Thanks for answering me:

I read in the newsgroup a answer from "Joe" a similar case and i think I??m
the unlucky 5% he??s talking about. Lokk down here in my answer to you.
Do you know something about the utility to workaround  my problem?
He says that microsoft has a utility to fix this problem.
In my case diskmanager looks ok but if i browse my computer the old disksize
is still there, if i stopp cluster service everthinh is ok and when i start
again the old disksize is back.  Looks like Microsoft has a non public fix
for this if Joe know what he??s talking about.?

Regards
Micael
