Question about Panasonic DMR-EX85EB-S DVD Recorder/HDD Recorder
Possible that the front end of the digital input section is faulty. The input is not processing the data and hence you are not detecting the signal.I presume you have tested the set at the digital input coming to the TV,Hence, If you have warranty on the set I would advice that you make use of the advantage and send it back to the supplier.
This might be better as I noticed you have done the best part to reset and check.

Check that C1801 is not leaky. If so, check if IC1801 has blown. If it has blown, it will also need to be replaced.
Usually it's only C1801 leaky, replace it and thats it.
You can find the capacitor on the main board, under the digital board that has ribbon cables going to the dvd drive.
