If your TV has earphone jacks, you can connect I to an amplifier and to a speaker. This way you need not open the TV cover. There are active speakers available in the computer sales shops you can use them also.

You can use audio out also to feed amplifier. Look for AV symbol either at the rear of the TV, near the antenna connector or the front of your TV button panel.

No sound from speakers,46 inch led tv,has sound on external audio

What kind of speakers are you connecting to the TV? The audio amplifier in the TV is only strong enough to drive the internal speakers in the TV. You have to use amplified speakers or route the audio through your sound system

Connecting tv external speakers

If you connected R/W RCA cables to the AUDIO OUT RCA jacks on the rear of the TV and connected the other ends to the TV AUDIO IN jacks on the receiver, you should be able to select an input on the receiver that will deliver sound to the Bose speakers. If you went to TV setup and selected external speakers, you directed output from the TV amplifier to external speakers which is not what you want.

I'm trying to connect external speakers to a Sharp Aquos LC-C3234U TV but not having any success. Can anyone help?

Apperently this tv has a history of sound board related problems. So if you are trying to connect external speakers because you have no sound from the set then you still will be sound-less. On the other habd if you just want more sound then I would suggest using a surround sound system which will readily connect to your set.

I just bought a Panasonic TV model TC L37E3 and I do not know how to coneect my external speakers. Please help me as I feel very frustrated by now. Carlos

Carlos, I just bought an LCD tv too. To connect external speakers to mine I had to buy some high end 5 channel pc speakers and connect them through the headphone jack(I know how stupid that sounds considering we spend $1000.00 on a TV and thats my only option for external speakers.I looked at your owners manual and didn't see a headphone jack though so you may have to opt for speakers that plug in with through the usb port. Some new tvs won't support external speakers unless you use complete home theater surround sound system which will connect through the rca cables (red, white)

I have plugged in the USB from my Zalman 5.1 External Sound drive and I still do not have sound. Should it be connected to my computer speakers? If so where? I have two current plugs on my speaker; the...

Yes, the speakers must be connected to the device. Your speakers use an older color code for connections. The black plug from your speakers goes in the green socket on the device. There may be a black socket on the device, but due to the color changes, black now indicates a surround speaker connection, not the main speaker connection. I would guess, not seeing your speakers, that the tan plug is either for a microphone, or more likely, is how you connect the left speaker to the right one.

Can i connect external speakers

gjrob,
You can connect external speakers with you model only if you have an external source of sound such as a receiver. This model does not have speaker outputs to directly connect speakers but it does have audio out connections that can send the sound from the tv to another source like the receiver.

On the back of your tv on the left there are connections listed under "Out". There is where you will find the audio out connections (red and White).

I have a panosonic plasma tv when i switch it on it tell me there is a speaker short and then switches it self of model number pdp507xda help

It's the internal circuitry problem. Try muting it and put audio connection to other speakers if it repeats, your TV audio system is internally dying.the audio connections has to be checked and faulty components should be replaced.
1. Speaker short.
Open it up and check the speaker connections. ONLY if you have basic skills working on electronics and don't have a warranty.
2. Sound Volume "Leveler"
Look in your sound option menu for a sound "balancer" option and turn it off.
If this doesn't work disable the sound and invest in that surround sound system (external speakers solution of your choice)

-----------
try this.for first unplug the main power cord of the tv for couple of minutes and then reconnect it.also before reconnecting the power cord of the tv again remove all the external device wires connected at its back such as dvd player/vcr etc etc.just connect only tv wire and check out.if still the same problem then its quite possible that the capacitors and ic on the audio circuit board are getting short in between so the circuit is not getting completed and cutting in between so the tv starts and turns off. if the tv is connected to externalk speakers then check out without connecting the external speakers and see whether it works.if it works that means tv is perfect.but if tv is having inbuilt speakers that its confirm problem with inter audio circuit of tv.so try connecting external speakers at the back of tv and check out.
--------------
This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya.

USB CONNECT ONE FOR POWER+DATA ? AND THE OTHER POWER ONLY?

It sounds like your USB ports just aren't putting out enough power for this device. Did the drive come with an external power supply? If so, does it work when you use the external power supply?
