Sorry, but it's utterly worthless.

It's a cheaply made, all plastic, 35mm SLR lookalike which cost a couple of dollars to make (if that) and is then put in an impressive looking box to be either given away by catalogue companies or sold to unsuspecting and unknowledgeable buyers at fairs, car boot sales or on auction websites, usually with a false claim that it's a "professional" camera which usually sells for hundreds of £'s.

The charity shop I volunteer for gets dozens of these or similar Olympia models every year and it actually costs us money to get rid of them as they end up in our bins.

Sorry to disappoint you. Just give it to a youngster to muck about with (although it's definitely not safe as a toddlers toy) or chuck it in the recycling bin.

Camera shows flashing H in rear screen and won't wind on film

Unfortunately on your model the flashing H means there's an electrical fault which needs repair.

In practice, it's an old obsolete model and few spare parts will be available. Any kind of professional repair will cost far more than the camera is worth. But as almost all 35mm compacts are now virtually worthless it means that you can get fantastic models for free or very cheap. All of mine have come for free via FreeCycle, Freegle, and by just asking people I know as most have unused and unwanted cameras lying around. Even the superb and very under-rated Canon Sureshot Classic 120 which has one of the sharpest lenses ever put onto a 35mm compact can be had for zilch as the batteries cost more than the camera is worth (new batteries: about £10).

Sorry this is not the answer you hoped for, but I hope that it enables you to fix the problem in a different way at almost no cost.

How much is it worth? i found one in my attic and want to sell it.

Most consumer type 35mm film cameras aren't demanding much on the used market and the Canon Rebel X although a great learning camera is an entry level camera. If I were you I'd check out e-Bay completed sales for a more current sale price.

I have an old zenith ttl and an 11 both in good order but I need a new battery compartment cover for each of them. where can I get these parts ?

The only place to get them is by obtaining other complete models as spares donors. Spare parts are long discontinued, and as most Zeniths are completely without resale value and there are so few remaining users nobody is able to make a viable business out of breaking them for spares.

You don't have to pay for a donor, almost every Zenith and Praktica I've ever owned has come from my local FreeCycle and Freegle groups and the rest cost almost nothing from boot sales and charity/thrift shops.

My brother's Fuji Discovery 1000 35mm Camera met with a small accident. The latch on the cover is broken. I don't know how old the camera is, but would like to know if it can be fixed, and if so, what is...

Parts are no longer available, and like almost all 35mm compact cameras (and many SLR's), your brother's camera is utterly worthless so repairs are totally uneconomic to repair unless you can fabricate a replacement latch yourselves.

Although this may sound gloomy, it's not. The silver lining is that you can easily find a similar or better model on your local FreeCycle or Freegle groups for zilch. There are millions of perfectly good 35mm film cameras lying unused at the back of peoples cupboards and drawers and the majority of owners know they're near worthless so haven't even invested in the replacement batteries that many need.

Tony,
We do not stockpile any parts for anything here.
This really is a collection of people who have knowledge about many things and can answer questions, solve problems you can't figure out, and just maybe, point you to some places where you might be able to find an item.
I sit in my home, answering as many questions as I can with my knowledge, but that's all I can do. I have my own cameras that I use, but no collection of parts for sale.
I am going to suggest Ebay as a low cost parts source. You might also ring up some camera repair shops in your area and ask about the part. I would also suggest Yahoo groups. Look up and join some Canon manual focus yahoo groups and forums then post a query. Don't hesitate to join an EOS group. Many who own the AF models still have some MF cameras on hand, or remember where/what.
Sorry I could not be more helpful.
I will look at your other question, Tony.

I have a zenit camera do you know who buys them from you it is 12x9 58mm 1.2 m52xo,75 helios 44m-4

If you're asking where you can sell your camera then you'll find there's a steady demand for Zenit models on eBay and Craig's list.

Like most basic 35mm SLR's they don't achieve good sale prices any more, but do better than many other more highly featured models simply because they have little to go wrong to start with and are usually easy to fix. Condition is everything though: if your camera and lenses are in less than near perfect condition then you'll find that your sales and listing fees may well cost more than the items are worth.

As per instruction if H appears, just removed the battery and continue to used, what about if after 1 shot H appears and no longer can be used what really cause?

The h is a technician code. If it keeps appearing and wont let the camera shoot, then you will need a factory repair to correct an internal problem. Most likely major parts to be replaced and not a cheap repair. you would be better served if you got another camera. You can find that model or similar models for sale that are much less than the cost a repair.

Nikon EM film winding lever is stuck. Can I repair this myself? Purchased at a yard sale with loads of lens and worked great for about 7 rolls of film. Shot part of a roll and lever refused to advance...

Bad news. I have an EM on the junk pile for a similar reason. In my case, the lever stuck and when I tried to advance the film, the plastic on the top of the camera body fractured and the whole mechanism separated. The current E-bay price on an EM body is under $30. Since the EM was made out of plastic, it is not repairable. If you have several lenses, it will be worth the low cost.

I have had Nikons of various models for over 50 years and in my opinion, until they fail such as your has, the EM is probably the most comfortable non-professional 35mm camera to hold and use that Nikon ever made.
