My Acer 21.5'' wide screen monitor shakes when I

Get a better stand to hold the monitor. There is nothing wrong with the monitor, it's the operator.

Black screen,clicking on monitor

That annoying little clicking sound is from your monitor, and it means that your old monitor is now, officially dead. Your flyback is toast, which probably means nothing to you, but you just need a nice cheap flea market monitor, or a nice new like LCD monitor. Geeks.com has some really nicely priced rebuilt monitors.

Screen just started shaking today what could be the problem

Hi - this sounds like a source of magnetism (speakers?) have been placed in close proximity of the monitor. Check all around (above and below, too) the monitor and disconnect or move any motors, speakers, or other sources of magnetism from the immediate area.

Your manitor may also benefit by activating the "demagnetism program" in on of it's menu settings. It may be represented as a horseshoe looking icon with a diagonal line drawn through it. When pressed, it will cause the screen to distort for several seconds and return to normal. Do this until the screen has minimal distortion when pressed - up to 2 or 3 times at the most.

Dark dark screen

that rubbery nipple when its pressed in is what allows the screen to go into sleep mode. Sounds like it might be stuck halfway in between. Go ahead and try to take out the top cover with the rubbery nipple on it. See if the screen lights up like normal, if it does then you know the rubbery nipple is the problem and just needs to be readjusted so it doesn't get stuck.

If it still stays dim then its either the lcd or the inverter that is bad.
