The lower hinge on each door may have a door closing cam. It raises the door up ¼ inch when opening and this assist in closing the door. If it’s wore out and doesn’t work the door may not seal and the gasket can be damaged. Watch the operation of the door to see if it rises up when opened.

Leave the door shut and let the magnetic gasket hold the door in place. Put something between the bottom of the door and the floor to hold it in case it slips.
Remove the bracket holding the pin and hinge assembly taking note of order of removal of parts. Slide new cams on. You probably need two.

My Craftsman 1/2 horsepower garage door opener will not close when properly whenever the temp drops below 40. Why is this?

Define "close properly".
When it gets cold nothing moves easily. The door requires more force to move. The opener will apply a set measure of force before giving up and switch directions (both up or down). This maximal force applied (up and down separately) is adjustable. The purpose is to prevent a person from being squished to death by the door. As the door moves up, apply resistance to it. If it doesn't take much to cause it to go the other way (or stop), then you need to adjust. If it will lift you as well, then you need to adjust. Do the same as the door goes down.

The oven door (Model SMW272) does not close completely. It may need an adjustment or a new seal?

Generally speaking, if a oven door does not close properly, and it is a drop down door, then it usually due to weak springs in the hinges.
There is no adjustment provided, so the only solutiom is to replace both door hinges.

Thankyou.

When the temperature drops below 30 degrees F my garage door opener will not close the door. I tried adjusting the downforce but it still does not close. Craftsman 41A4315-7C

Put the down force adjustment back where it was as it affects the safety reversing. If the main light flashes 10 times when you try to close the door it is a door sensor problem. Make sure they are pointed at one another and the small light on each one is lit and not flickering. Tweak them a bit if necessary. It could be an electronic component that is sensitive to cold and quits when the temperature drops. This is not uncommon.

My whirlpool double oven lower door won't stay closed all the way. model RBD305PD810. is there an adjustment that is needed?

If it is a drop down door, then you need to replace both door hinges, if it is a door that opens sideways, then it is probably the door catch, or door striker that needs to be replaced.

Thanks.

Door drops down 1/8' when open. To close need to

If the model number you have this listed under is correct, there is no adjustment. More than likely the door pivot and/or hinges are worn. They can easily be replaced, however. The part numbers are as follows:

Door Pivot - 8184922
Upper Door Hinge - W10114255
Lower Door Hinge - W10114254

You can find these parts at appliancepartspros.com. Just type in the model number and locate items 6, 8, and 13 under the "Door Parts" heading.

If you have questions about this repair, or have a different model number, please post back and let me know so that I may be able to provide better assistance. I hope this helps you.
