Question about Apple iMac G5 Desktop
Hi, this is a manufacturing defect that is very common in these imacs. How long ago did you purchase this imac. Some of them have fallen under extended warranty due to to it being apple's fault for the defect but I believe that program closed near the end of 08. I would call apple directly and complain about the issue and they may fix it at no cost to you. A work around to the problem is to hook up a secondary monitor and use that as the main monitor. Due to this being a defect in the LCD screen itself it is not worth repair as it could easily run 700-900$. I would recommend just using a separate monitor. This is a huge widespread problem, so I would complain to apple anyways as it is unacceptable to leave consumers hanging because of their defective manufacturing. If you need any further assistance please let me know.
