It depends on if it is a heat sensor or a thermal fuse or even something else.
I would need to know what your dryer is "doing" or "not doing"
If you are sure of the part already; sure you can do it...but...
I recomend you:
1) Unplug it
2) Clean interior of all lint
3) Clean lint out of exhaust chute
4) Check for any breakage or parts laying on interior bottom
5) be careful when restarting to test as follows:
A) stay clear from dryer
B0be ready to shut it off quickly in the event of a problem
Good luck,
Vinnie

WHAT IS THE HEATED OXYGEN SENSOR BANK 1 SENSOR? WHERE IS THE SENSOR HEATER? CAN i FIX IT MYSELF? ALSO,,, EGR SYSTEM FAULT,,,WHERE IS THE PRESSURE SENSOR? CAN i fix it myself?

Oxygen sensor bank 1 is the first sensor in the exhaust system. It should be located between the exhaust manifold under the hood and the catalytic converter. The one after the catalytic converter is the bank 2 sensor. The sensor heater is located in the sensor itself...it can only be replaced as a whole. You should be able to change this yourself with the correct size wrench... just unplug sensor, loosen and remove. Replace with new sensor the same as removed. This could be causing the egr system fault as well.

Tappan gas range model 30-3991-23/03 - when the oven is heating, an F3 code comes on, followed by an F2 code. The oven turns of and I can't heat it again until it has cooled. Can I repair it myself? ...

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F3 error means open/shorted oven temperature sensor and to solve this problem the sensor needs replacement. If you want to do it yourself and wan to be sure before replacing the sensor then you can test it with a voltmeter between 1080-1120ohms....if it reads more then or less then this then it needs replacement however, if the reading is around between 1080-1120ohms then it is the control board that needs replacement. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Dryer not hot

Tht means that the element is not heating on.

You need to call a technician to test the element, the thermic sensor, and the control assembly.

The most likely is a defective heating element, that must be replaced.

Intermittant heating

You probably have a new unit by now. The Magnetron part inside usually is the problem with this Maytag unit.I have had this unit blow the 'Magnetron' four times ! Everything else works fine. After watching the technician, I replaced it myself the other 3 times. The whole unit has to come out of the wall to do this. This High Voltage part is dangerous. The part costs about $100.00 from an online parts store. Partselect.com- or someone else.
