Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Lost my wireless connection [due to virus I think], have done a complete reformat of xp pro, everything gone and a fresh install from my XP CD, I got wireless working for a short time after installing all...

Ensure that the wireless network adapter is enabled. You can get there from My Network Places ' Properties or the control panel. If it is enabled, you should have an icon in the systray for the wireless adapter. Right click on the icon and select View Wireless Networks to select a wireless network to connect to.

I have a acer 6930 that keeps losing wireless connection when everything else in the house is still working

Configure Windows to manage your wireless network by right-clicking the wireless network icon and select view avalable networks... then click change advance settings... then click the wireless tab... If you don't see a wireless tab, then close it and click start then run and type service.msc and press ok. doublde-click the wireless zero configuration and set it to automatic then click start to start the service. then do the first few instructions until you see the wireless tab. Bullet-mark the "Let windows manage wireless network" then click apply or ok.

Try to reconnect to your wireless network and you should be able to maintain your connections wirelessly.

Emachine notebook doesn't recognize my wireless network.

Try running the Microsoft updates or getting updated drivers for your wireless NIC. It's even possible that the wireless card in the laptop doesn't support WPA security. Unlikely seeing as how the board is fairly new, but possible. You might also want to try getting a PCMCIA wireless card and popping that in.

Wifi connects but can't get on the internet

Try going to your network connections, double clicking the wireless connection, then double clicking on TCI/IP Protocol. Make sure that everything is set up to detect settings automatically. If this doesn't work, try unplugging your router for at least 15 minutes then plugging it back in.

Wireless on my laptop is not working

Virus, what fun. I do know how to get the windows Wireless Manager working again if it is displaying "Windows cannot configure wireless settings" Do as follows: Open the Wireless Manager> Click Change advanced settings> click the tab labled Wiless Netoworks and make sure the box in the top left hand corner is ticked. Then the Wireless manager should be working. If the virus is still causing you greif, download and install AVG Free 8.0. It's a free virus protection software that works a charm.
Thats just my advice.
