Try testing a unaversal remote and if that works then your remote is bad but if not then the remote sensor on the tv is bad

Make sure the receiver window on the unit is not blocked. Even a partial blockage can negatively affect the communication between the unit and the remote. Clean both windows, the one on the remote and the one on the unit. Don't use products but instead, some mild soap and water on a microfiber cloth.

I have a set of motorola fv700 talkabout radios. they wont transmit to each other. i checked the inter. elim. code. they are the same. and i have even turned them off. these are new radios. i know they...

Take the radios back to a very basic setting with all special features turned off. If the radios have a Qt filter check to see it is turned off, and set your Code to zero (off) on both units. Also, check to see your battery is good in both units. Trade the battery with a known good radio to see if the problem moves to the other radio, is a simple test.

DVD recorder DMR-E20 will not communicate with remote

Have the remote tested, it can be done easily without the unit, also most digital cameras in a very very dark room can be used--point remote at camera (with it on) and press buttons, you should see a tiny flash on the display screen of the camera.

If the remote tests good the remote receiver in the unit it operates may be bad.

Attached is a typical receiver, yours may not have the metal bracket and the item in the picture is actually less than 1/2 inch tall.

Vue eye320ghd digital set top box remote dont work

The remote can be tested to see if it is the problem or not--most TV shops have a tester---point remote at it and press any button and either the tester reacts or does not.

Some digital cameras will in a dark room react on their display screen to the same thing.

If the remote tests good the issue is likely with the remote receiver in the unit.

If the remote is bad in our shop we take them apart and usually fix them for under 10 dollars.

If the remote had the batteries removed it may also need to be programmed again---if it is able to program for other devices see if it will work on another unit.

Let me know if you have questions--I am here to help.

My remote control does not operate my GVA TV, the batteries are good, the pair (remote/TV) just do not respond at all, no matter what buttons are pushed.

Hello,

If new batteries did not fix the problem, then it means the problem is either from the remote or the TV.

Remote: Check the remote battery terminal, see if its not rust. Also, disassemble the remote, can check the connection between the terminal and the remote board, see if there is no disconnection of any kind.

If after checking and all seems well, then it means the remote is defective. To confirm, borrow a remote, test it with the TV. If it works, then it means you need to replace your remote. But if the remote you borrowed does not work, then it means the problem is from the TV and not the remote.

TV: There is a sensor in the TV that communicates with the remote. If this sensor is defective, the remote won't communicate with the TV.

The TV sensor might have loosed contact from inside of the TV or it maybe defective and need to be replaced.

So do the above troubleshooting and let me know if the problem is from the TV or remote. If problem is from the remote, you need to do a replacement. But if otherwise, let me knows as well.

Good luck.

It doesn't work

Hi,

is this a remote to TV or what? I am assuming it's a remote to a TV. If it is not for a TV, let me know, although, the solution is similar to any unit that uses remote control.

There are three possible causes for this problem;

1. Batteries may be dead inside the remote.
2. Remote might be defctive.
3. TV remote sensor/infrared might be defective.

Battries; Simply insert new batteries into the remote and try again. If changing batterises doesn't help, problem as to be from the Remote or TV's infrared.

Remote won't communicate with machine

Try the following until you achieve results:
1. Make sure power is turned on
2. Check batteries in remote are working
3. Lift front panel of A/C unit and press the test button beside the electrical cover on the right of the unit.
4. If unit still will not start then the computer control card is most likely damaged and needs to be replaced
