Restart the computer couple of times, you will get an option to run startup repair. Use your keyboard up / down arrows and highlight the startup repair option and hit enter. This will run startup repair and should solve the issue.
Make a copy of the instructions below and go through it step by step.
make a note of the .dll file name. restart your pc, on boot-up press F8 and select start in safe mode. let PC boot up and click on Start. Click Run... icon in the start menu. In the box that pops up type regedit. Expand the HKEY LOCAL MACHINE then SOFTWARE/Windows/ Current Version. Left click on Run on the right hand side there will be headings name type and data look for the dll file name and delete the file. Restart the PC and it should run normally.
this is either a faulty dvd drive error message, or you have missing system files on the hard-drive.
The computer is asking you for the ( Media-Software Disk ) that is missing, and is required to start the computer.
Try putting your restore cd, or operating system in the dvd drive when booting the computer.
Does the issue occur in Safe Mode (Press F8 at boot, select safe mode) If not then a program is likely conflicting, run a virus and spyware scan.
If the issue does occur in safe mode, try adjusting keyboard settings in COntrol panel
There are two options you can try:
First boot up and hit F8 to put it in Safe Mode. Then go into your Control Panel>Add/Remove programs and uninstall Service Pack 1. Reboot and see if that works. If not try this:
Boot up into Safe Mode again by hitting F8 when it starts up. Click on Start>Programs>Accessories>System>System Restore (It may be a little diff but that is close). Click on System Restore and walk thru the Wizard, this will restore your computer to an earlier date before you installed Service Pack 1. Good Luck.
