Question about Canon MultiPASS F50 All-In-One InkJet Printer

Canon Multipass F50 printing streaks

My Canon Multipass is printing with streaks (when being used in copier mode). It's not ink streaks, though. It's more like it's not seeing what it is copying correctly. The streaks are in a regular pattern (not random). Could a lamp be out? How would I go about fixing that?

Problems Printing - Canon Multipass F80


sounds like there's something caught on the ink cartridge head. go to the canon ink cartridge information webs site to see if there is an answer there or in the manual that came with the printer. good luck

My Canon Multipass F50 has a "check printer" error and won't print. The ink cartridges will not move when you open the door (as if to replace). It won't even turn off to cycle it to clear the error,


I had a similar problem. Go to this page http://www.fixyourownprinter.com/forums/inkjet/29693 and try the codes they suggest to reset the count for the waste tanks. Good luck.

Canon Multipass F50 prints too much Yellow on photos


try realigning printer heads using the allingment on ya software look thru the printer manual to see how to hope this helps

Displays wrong cartridge when ink tanks are fine


If the poblem is not with the ink tanks, then the print head may be defective. This happened to my MPF30 in 2004, so I replaced the print head, which holds the ink tanks. You may contact Canon at 1-800-385-2155 or at www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=SupportIndexAct

Please don't take out my answer on my rankings. I just pass on what I know. Microsoft-certified Windows Vista drivers are not available for the MultiPASS product you are inquiring about. However, you may be able to install an emulation driver and set the machine to Printer Mode that will allow use of your product as a printer in Windows Vista. If you decide to use the Printer Mode function, please be aware that the instructions and support are provided as is and Canon does not guarantee compatibility or print results.
Note:
  • To print using Printer Mode, the printer must be connected via a parallel port connection. A USB to parallel port connection is not recommended.
  • Installing the emulation driver for your product will provide print functionality only. The scan and MultiPASS F50 fax driver, as well as the MultiPASS Desktop Manager and Toolbar, will not be installed and are not available in any Windows Vista environment.
If you need or want an emulation driver I can help. Sorry, please don't rate me bad for news. If you need more help on this just add a comment and I'll be there!!

Wrong Cartridge Error Message


The Print Head might be the fault of that,try replacing the print head and see if that helps
