I cant get the filter out of my washing machine help please

Sometimes a bigger object might block the filter knob, and make it impossible to screw out. Then the only way is to remove the end of the sump hose attached to the filter and remove the stuck object.
(In my filter this object was an Umbraco key) :-)

You need to use quite a lot of force to remove it. What typically happens is the filter will get blocked with small coins etc. To be honest it is not a great design. Work it back and forward and be very physical with it. It will come out and it does so purely by unscrewing as you would expect - just really tough and the grip is difficult. I ended up using to adjustable wrenches on it.
