Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Hi my name i would like to no how to fix a lap top i have one that the bootmgr is missing can you tell me if i can download a disk i don't have the money to get it .

You need a Windows install disk , not a recovery one , then follow this
http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/fixing-bootmgr-is-missing-error-while-trying-to-boot-windows-vista/
If you can't borrow a disk from someone then just find it online; there a dozens of torrents with them out there - for legal reasons i can't give you a link.

I have formatted my harddrive. Now when i am trying to install xp sp2 i get a screen saying BOOTMGR is missing. Please help me on this.

You will need to set the laptop to boot from CD with your windows disk in the drive. If you provide the make/model of the laptop, I may be able to tell you how to do so if you do not know.

My acer aspire 5050 is telling me BOOTMGR is compressed what could i do to solve this problem

Get to the command line. You could do this by booting up on the Vistamag-glass_10x10.gif DVD.
Now type, at the Command line:
expand bootmgr temp
attrib bootmgr -s -r -h
del bootmgr
ren temp bootmgr
attrib bootmgr -a +s +r +h

This should help !

Cannot restart laptop

"Boot with the Vista DVD, when it enters Setup hit your SHIFT-F10 keys Setup will run "cmd", and drops you to a command prompt that is running with SYSTEM privileges.

Then at the command prompt type the following (hitting <enter>) after each line.:

attrib bootmgr -s -r -h
del bootmgr
ren temp bootmgr
attrib bootmgr -a +s +r +h
"

hope this helps! :)
