Could be a throttle pot problem and /or a speed control pot problem one or both could be dirty or have a bad spot on the pot. If you can live with it use it until you get a flash code trip on the console. Hope this helps

How to stop a continuing beep on my Cordoba scooter when I turn the key on? The scooter don't move at all.

Hi Mag,
I have this steps that might help you with beeping sound on your Scooter. Hope it helps.

UNIT LIGHTS UP/HORN WORKS BUT UNIT WILL NOT MOVE
Possible Cause:
  • This often occurs when the scooter is in free wheel mode and is not in drive mode. Re-Engage the free wheel lever which is located down near the rear wheels (normally a yellow or red lever).
  • If you hear a beeping noise, the beeping you hear is a fault beep indicating the scooter main control box has detected a problem. Contact your dealer who can diagnose the beep code.
  • Check batteries with load tester - If either battery drops more than 1 volt under a load, the battery(s) are bad. Replace "both" batteries.

I also find these additional steps on how to know beep alarm indicators:

This main control box has a self-diagnostics feature & cannot be tested with a volt meter. When a
problem is present the main control box will diagnose the fault, prohibit the scooter from being driven
and sound an alert beep. Each alert beep indicates a different issue which helps to determining the
problem by narrowing the fault into one of a few main areas of the scooter. Reference this information
below for the alert beep indications.

Very Rapid beep- Batteries are low. Charge & test batteries.
Medium Fast beep- Motor/brake wiring fault. Free wheel lever disengaged.
Solid beep- The charger is plugged into the scooter (some models may vary).
Very Slow beep- The throttle pot was not at center when you turned the unit on. Throttle pot off
center or wiring (yellow & orange wires) fault.

My victory 4 mobilty wont charge the green light is very faint/the charger was tested working.so why wont my scooter charge

make sure battery cables are secure at battery terminals and clean.how old are the batteries. If the batteries run down fast they are no good.a good way to test them is put scooter against some thing solid and go forward. If the battery indicator drops to o the batteries are no good.It takes about 10 hours to charge the batteries

My scooter is too slow, the battery charges, but it only drives at very slow speed, while going backwards it goes fast. Can you tell me what to do?

I have owned my own business for 3 years and have been working on scooters and powerchairs for 15 years. In the future give as much info about the scooter as possible.
1. Replace the throttle pot and or the speed pot.
2. Sometimes even batteries that take a charge are not strong enough to run the scooter. Have them load tested at an auto parts store to make sure. If you have bad batteries that will make you scooter do what you say it's doing. Don't forget your reverse speed is only 1/2 as fast as the forward speed on all scooters.

Good Luck
Tim

I have the Shoprider Delux scooter.I brought it second hand.I put in a new battery but its not holding the charge. I seem to have to charge it up before any trips out. When its fully charged and I go about...

Yvonne,

When you say that you put in a new battery, I hope you mean new batteries. This particular scooter takes 2 batteries and just changing one will leave the remaining one in poor condition. Make sure that you have replaced the batteries with the correct size and type. This scooter takes 2, 40 amp hour batteries. Sealed gel AGM batteries are preferred. The batteries should have the number 40 on them with a date code. You need new, fresh batteries to have them work properly. A date code tag of A1 indicates the A month(1st month) or January of 2011 (1 is for 2011). If you are not sure of the battery condition a local shop can load test them for you.
There is a possibility with a 5 year old scooter that a worn motor/brake will cause excessive current draw and drain your batteries. A qualified technician can determine this for you with a service call.
Hope this helps.

Battery passed load test; it still keeps on stopping

Check all of your connections as well as the fuses. Sometimes the scooter will stop if all tires are not getting traction or if one spins out form riding on sand, gravel or a slick floor. If the batteries test at full voltage output then there is something that is breaking the circuit or a built in safety measure is shutting the scooter down as if senses something is unsafe. Are there any flashing lights, vibration or noises when operating the scooter? Try to reset the freewheel lever or any other circuit breaker your model may have. If you continue to have the problem, contact the manufacturer or sales office for service.

Same problem

If your batteries have ever gone dead, they can show fully charged, then completly discharge very rapidly. Take them to autozone and ask for a "load test". If they don't hold a load, replacement is nessary. smithrm70@hotmail.com for more if the batteries pass load test

Scooter is running slow

Have the batteries tested with a load tester. Usually when it starts to move slow it means the batteries are going.
