Log on to your router. ( Via your web browser )
And your key/password will be there under wireless/security
Your support page is here, just click on support and find your router model, there will be step by step instructions there.

My problem was,my wireless connection is unsecure, how do i secure my wireless connection?

1) Open your Internet Explorer program or any other web browser.
2) In the Address Box at the top of the browser window, type http://192.168.1.1 and then click on Go, or press the Enter key on the keyboard. A window should appear in the center of the screen asking for your User Name and Password.
3) Leave the User Name box blank. Type admin in the Password box, then click on OK, or press the Enter key on the keyboard.
Note: To change the password from admin to a more secure password:
1) Click on the Administration tab when the Linksys Wireless Router Setup page appears.
2) Type the password you want in the Password:box next to Local Router Access.
3) Click on Save Settings.
4) Be sure you remember or write down this password and the encryption password in step #13 below.
4) The Linksys Wireless Router Setup page should appear.
5) Click on the Wireless tab.
6) Because some of your neighbors may also have Linksys Wireless Routers and not know how to change the SSID (the SSID is the name of your wireless network.), change your SSID from the default name, which is linksys, to something unique, such as johnsnet or myhomenet.
Caution: Do not use spaces or weird characters, such as $ % ^ & * #, in the SSID.
7) Change the Wireless Channel to Channel 1 - 2.412 GHz. (The second part of the channel is the frequency: 2.412 Gigahertz.) You can also use 11 - 2.462 GHz. Most people use Channel 6 because this is the default Channel, so you don't want to select Channel 6; use Channel 1 or 11 instead.
Tip: Unfortunately, cordless [landline] phones, Bluetooth devices and microwave ovens may use the same frequencies as your wireless networking equipment. If you suspect that these appliances are interfering with your wireless network, try experimenting with different channels.
8) Click on Save Settings.
9) Click on Continue.
10) Click on Wireless Security.
11) Under Security Mode, click on the Down Arrow and then select WPA-Personal, unless you have an older wireless network card in your laptop which can't useWPA, in which case, click on this for instructions on setting the Security Mode to WEP.
12) Under Encryption:or WPA Algorithms:, set this to TKIP.
13) Under WPA Shared Key, type in your desired password, which should be at least 8 characters long, but not contain any spaces or weird characters, such as $ % ^ & * #.
14) Click on the Save Settings button to save the settings.
15) Click on the Continue button.

Hi

The Router configuration is not that much difficult, only few thing you have sure,

Follow the mention bellow instruction to configure and connect to Wifi Router,

  • Plug the network cable ( Mine was Blue ) which comes with the Router Box pack to your computer. The other end goes into any of the Router Ethernet Port ( 1 or 2 or 3 or 4 )
  • Now type in 192.168.1.1 in IE or Firefox or any browser. You will prompted for password which is admin. You must be logged into Linksys Router.
  • Now since your ADSL modem is also having the same IP , we will change the IP address for WRT54G2 Router to 192.168.5.1
  • Under Setup >Basic Setup look for Network Setup and Change Router IP. Change to 192.168.5.1 and Save changes.

I need the wep

you can find this out by connecting to your linksys router with a cat 5 cable.
in your browser such as internet explorer or firefox type
192.168.1.1
login with your login/pass that you assigned to it.
go to the wireless tab and go to security
it will show the the WEP key that is needed in order for your laptop or wireless devices to connect.
BTW I would recommended using WPA as WEP is not secured.

2.4GHz Wireless Lan And 5 GHz Wireless LAN

this is usually caused by your router and your wireless network card are not compatible... you need to purchase as well cisco wireless network card adn tehn when you press your wireless security on the router, it will automatically apply all security protocol to the connection.

if you do not want to purchase new card, you always can setup these devices manually,

connect to the router via rj45 cable, establish what protocol, security and transmission method/frequency you will be using, write that down, disconnect the cable, enter your wireless network card settings and apply same settings to your network card, this should solve the problem.

as you did not stated what operating system you are using and what card is in your computer, this is unfortunately best advice which can be given.

how to set up your router, you have downloadable pdf file on linksys site.

I got new laptop and i want to conect with wireles but is asking for security key which i dont know where to check to find it. How can i do it/

All Linksys routers have a built-in web-based setup page that allows the user to customize settings and set up advanced properties.
NOTE: Before accessing the router’s web-based setup page, make sure the router is powered on and the computer is wired to one of the Ethernet ports on the router (1, 2, 3 or 4 ).

Accessing the Router’s Web-Based Setup Page
Step 1:
Open a web browser such as Internet Explorer.
Step 2:
Go to the Address bar and enter your router’s IP address ("192.168.1.1" is the default IP of most Linksys routers) then press [Enter].
Step 3:
A new window will prompt for a User name and Password. Leave the User name field blank then enter your router’s password ("admin" is the default password), then click OK.

To setup or SEE the WPA Wireless Security on your Linksys router, follow the steps below:
Setting-Up the Wireless Router to Use WPA
Step 1:
Access the router’s web-based setup page. For instructions, see above
Step 2:
When the router’s web-based, setup page appears, click Wireless and select Wireless Security.
Step 3:
Select WPA Personal under the Security Mode drop-down menu.
NOTE: IF YOU ARE JUST CHECKING ON THE PASSWORD NO NEED TO GO ON JUST TAKE NOTE OF THE WPA SHARED KEY AND USE IT IN YOUR LAPTOP WHEN ASKED OF THE PASSKEY
Step 4:
Select TKIP on WPA Algorithms.
Step 5:
Enter your desired WPA Key on the WPA Shared Key field such as “MySecretKey.” This will serve as your network key whenever you connect to your wireless network.
NOTE: Do not give this key to anyone. This key will secure your wireless network. Leave Group Key Renewal to 3600 seconds

I want to security enable my wireless internet

What you are asking about is called Wep security and is available in your router control panel ("http://" whatever your router is set to) then go to wireless>security and setup a Wep key. You can also go to this web page for more info:

HP laptop not recognizing Linksys Wireless B Security Key..

The WEP encryption is consist of 10 characters for 64 bit hex, 128 bit hex is 24 characters and WPA is 8 to 63 characters. So it seems that you have a vista computer? The compatible encryption for vista is WPA, sometime using WEP it is not working properly. So I might advise you to access the configuration of your router (192.168.1.1) and change the wireless settings of your router to WPA-Personal.
