Question about Computers & Internet
Either your DVD RAM drive is dirty & needs to be cleaned, or the drive has gone bad & needs to be replaced.
First, try to take the drive off the laptop. Open the drive & blow compressed air into it (from a can of compressed air) to clean it. You could also clean the lens (the small round glassy object inside the drive) using lens cleaning tissues & lens cleaning fluid.
If this did not fix the problem, you will need to replace the DVD RAM drive with a working one, or use an external DVD RAM drive.
