Question about Hansgrohe 32310821 Talis S Widespread Bath Faucet Brushed Nickel

2 Answers

Just installed 2 sets of Hansgrohe 32310821 Talis S Widespread Bath Faucets Brushed Nickel in a bathroom. Installation looks good but when turning off water using lever, the water doesn't shut down immediately but rather slows & finally stops in 1 to 2 seconds. Is that normal?? Also, I notice once it stops, a drop or two hangs on the end of the spout. Finally, once the water stops, if I remove the aerator, water which is apparently trapped in the spout, pours out for 2 to 3 seconds until it's empty. Again, is this normal? If the above is not normal, is there anything I can do to fix these problems?

Hi,
Yes!! Everything you are observing is perfectly normal...
They are a slower shutoff...this ensures that there is no water hammer...also the water will trap in the faucet...that also is okay and perfectly normal.
Congratulation on your installation... glad it looks good also!!!

All the things that you listed is normal with that faucet. the reason why it does this is the hight neck and the down tube hold watter. When you turn it off the down tube needs to drain the water from it. Do not worry your faucet is not bad.

Good Luck and have a nice day

How do you remove the Metris S wideset faucet handle?

To remove the handle simply rotate the escutcheon counter clockwise and it will unthread from the fixation on top of the counter. Then the handle will lift off as one unit. You can clean them with CLR to clear up water deposits. If you need further instructions feel free to contact me Hansgrohe Tech 1-800-334-0455 press 2 for Technical and ask for David Scarborough. I'll be happy to help.

Hansgrohe 88509000 sink drain does not close completely, water slowly drains out

This could be caused by the installation. If the installer did not use plumber's putty between the the flange and basin it will not seal with the basin. Another possible cause is if the basin is not perfectly formed it will cause the flange to oval or not seat evenly. If this is the case it may leak between the flange and the basin or the stopper may not seat all the way down and it may leak between the stopper and flange.

Cold water runs very slowly, Hot water runs much faster

If this is a new faucet in an old location, you may have a service stop under the sink that the seat washer crumbled on. This happpens sometimes because the seats get brittle in the water then you use them for the first time in years. Check the supply hose first for kinks then if it looks okay, you should check for debris by removing the control handle and removing the cartridge. Do you see any black particles in the cartridge? Carefully open the cold service stop under the sink while using your hand to direct the water into the sink. Is the flow poor or good? If good, the dirt is in the cartridge. If poor, you need to turn the water off and look into the opening the cartridge sits in. Sometimes the opening to the cartridge intake may not be completely drilled. Do the hot and cold openings look the same? IF they both look good, then the obstruction is in the cold hose or in the service stop, though it is more common that it is in the hose. You can remove the hose and try cleating it, but never by inserting anything in it. If it requires that, it is time for a new hose. In that case you should contact hansgrohe for the parts. 800-334-0455 or www.hansgrohe-usa.com for support in USA.

Installing TL794DD bathroom faucet

All faucets install easily if you have the proper tools. Answer these questions first: 1. how many holes are their in the surface of your sink? Is there a faucet installed now? If yes, you may only need to remove that faucet and use the same feed lines under the sink to hook up the new one. Take your faucet to the hardware store and ask the plumbing clerk if the hook ups under the sink are different from what your new faucet appears to be compatible with. good luck
