Got spark got gas want fire at all

chances are the carb is not set properly. turn the screw on the carb all the way in then back it out 1 1/4 turns. as a trick you can spray WD40 in the carb to start it too. if you can get Either, that works best. you may need to adjust the screw to get it to run at peak performance. adjust it in 1/4 turn increments.

Will not start even withew gas

Try a spray of starting fluid into the carb. If it fires you know you have good spark. If it did not fire replace your spark plug. If it still won't fire point and condensor need to be replaced. If it did fire spray the starting fluid in the carb a few more times to pull the old fuel through the fuel line til the new gas gets through the carb and then it should run. Some machines have a fuel shut off valve make sure it is open.

Honda CB250 will not start. It will turn over and there is fire on the plugs and when I look at the plugs after trying, they are "wet" with fuel. What am I missing?

Valve clearance or camshaft timing. If you have no clearance on the intake valves at top dead center, then you will have no compression = no start.

I have a 1979 yamaha enduro 125cc i cant get it to start... i ran when i first got it and then it just died and i havn't been able to get it started... i changed the spark plugs cleaned the gas tank...

Did you squirt some gas in the cylinder to see if it would fire? Check the spark by laying the spark plug on the head, or holding it there with rubber handles, attached to the plug wire, see if you get a spark, if that checks out, you have spark, open up the air filter and peek in the carb, twist the throttle to see if gas comes shooting out. If not, squirt a little gas in the carb, try it, fire? check the fuel filter, pump, carbs could be gummed up. Did you get the jets clean? Run a wire through them to see if they are clear? Blow through them to check. Check it out.

Just will not start

You have most likely done this but lets go back to the basics.

Do you have spark at the plug?
Check to see if the plug is fouled - pull the plug connect to the plug wire- ground the metal part of the plug to the metal body of the engine - as you turn the engine over it should fire cleanly from the center to the electrode, if it fires off to the side or has an orange colored spark it is fouled - replace it.

Once we have spark check for gas is it getting to the carb?

90+ % of all small engines not running are due to the fuel line or in tank screen being plugged with garbage. Remove the fuel line from the carb, point it down and using a small container to catch the gas it should flow freely.
If you have good gas flow reconnect the fuel line to the carb and put about 1 CC of gas in the plug hole reinstall the plug and fire it - almost all small engines use a bit of vacuum to pull the fuel from the carb into the cylinder, jump starting them with a very small amount of gas directly in to the cylinder can help them get going.
A VERY SMALL AMOUNT OF GAS AND CLEAN UP ANY SPILLS BEFORE YOU TRY TO START !!
Burning down the house will upset the other half

Briggs and Stratton 6.5 hp won't start- not sure gas is getting to the spark plug, just overhauled the carb, changed oil and new spark plug

First you could make sure you have spark. Take the plug out and then plug it into the black wire. Set the end of the spark plug near the frame of the lawn mower. Pull the cord one time to see if there is an arc from the plug to the mower. If you have spark, I would put the plug back in. Before putting the plug back in I would spray a little bit of starting fluid. See if it will fire up with the starting fluid in there. If you have a true good spark, it should fire up. This may be enough to get some gas going in there as long as you have the lines hooked up correctly.

Cannot start my trimmer, even change the spark

Take off the air cleaner and squirt gas in the carb. If it fires it is not getting gas from the tank. If it does not fire pull the spark plug and squirt a little gas in the cylinder. Replace the plug and try starting it. If it fires it is not getting gas from the carb.

Poulan 6.75 Lawn mower will not start

Remove spark plug, clean and dry. Replace plug. Remove air filter. Spray WD-40 into carb opening; one second blast. Turn over engine, (pull handle). Engine should start briefly and run for 3 seconds.  If not, you are not getting spark to spark plug. If engine starts, you have a dirty carb and you can buy a rebuild kit from manufacture.
