It should be a little pin hole on the back of the router that you can stick a paper clip or pen into. Hold it in for about 10 seconds to reset it.

Forgotten password for wifi network

Which operating system ??
Your wireless Internet password is the encrypted security pass phrase that was set up when you installed your wireless router.

Your router allows you to access the Internet.
If you have access to more than one wireless network, you may need to remember multiple passwords.

If you happen to forget one password, you have two options: reset your password or locate the current password.

Windows 7 allows you to view the security characters of all your wireless network passwords.
Click the "Wi-Fi" network icon located on the Window's taskbar.

Right-click the name of your network's "SSID" name and select "Properties" from the drop-down menu.

Click the "Security Tab." The network security key is now visible but unreadable.

Click the "Show Characters" check box and this will reveal your wireless password.

or
Reset My WiFi Password

Wireless networking is a common feature in homes and offices.
Wireless routers provide access to a single Internet source, and wireless passwords ensure that only select users can access the network.

If a password is forgotten or lost, the password can be recovered or reset by accessing the router's Web-based settings menu.

Most wireless routers also have a reset button, which is capable of returning the router to its default settings which includes resetting the password.

Connect to your Wi-Fi or attach your computer directly to the router with an Ethernet cable.
Open your Web browser.

Enter the default address of your router.
The default address is listed in your user manual or on the product website.

Linksys and 3Com routers typically use "192.168.1.1" while Netgear routers use "192.168.0.1."
Enter your username and password.

Many routers use "admin" for the username and password by default.
Locate the wireless security settings. Disable the wireless security.

Reset to Factory Defaults

Locate the reset button on your router.
Typically the reset button is a small indented hole on the back of the device.

Insert a long thin object such as a paperclip and hold down the reset button for 30 seconds to revert the router to its factory default settings.

Locate the wireless security settings and add security as necessary.

I have to work from home, but my internet connection is not working anymore. Just wondering what could be causing this to happen and what are the solutions?

depends are you wireless or wired?if wired chech your router make sure the connection is good, bypass if necessary plug directly to the computer if that works you are ok you might have a bad router. If wireless you might want to do the same thing if that works you may have to reset the wireless router and reconfigure(wireless routers are reset by a button on the backside between the ports).
Good luck

Cannot get into belkin load program to change password and code

If what you are referring to is a Belkin Wireless Router you may need to login from the Internet Explorer browser and type in the IP address of the router. Typical routers are set to 192.168.1.1 but if this does not work for yours you may need to do a few steps to find it...

1. Click on the start button on the desktop and click run...
2. type cmd and press enter
3. type ipconfig and press enter
there will be an entry that shows up that says 'Default Gateway' this will more than likely be the IP address you need to use to get to the login page for your router.

If the problem you are having is not actually getting to the router login but you don't know the password is... then you will have to do a hard reset of the router resetting everything back to the factory settings.

1. there will be a reset button on the back of the router
2. while the router is plugged in and the lights are on use something to push and hold the reset button in.
3. when... A. The lights on the box shut off. B. 5 - 10 seconds has passed...
4. pull out the power cord from the back of the box **WHILE STILL HOLDING THE RESET BUTTON IN**
5. now release the reset button and plug the power back in.
6. allow the router to preform its bootup and then attempt loggin in again.
**after doing the reset it will use the original logins as well for the router, typically...
Username: admin Password: password
Username: Password: admin

there may be other possible logins that it defaults to as well.

I was setting up my wireless connection with security with my d link router, and when i try to save my settings it doesn't work, i beleive you are supposed to push apply to save the settigns that you made...

Perform a hard reset.
The reset button is usually recessed near the power connection, take the power cord off, then use a paper clip to push in the button. hold it in for 30 secs. while you continue to hold the reset button. put the power cord back in and release the reset button. Then try the security settings again.
If that does not work, go to D-links website and see if there is a firmware update for your router.
