Question about Kyocera Mita Office Equipment & Supplies

This question refers to a Kyocera copier KM 1530 (not to a Panaosnic copier, as indicated in your questionaire - it was not possible to change this!): when the "add toner" and the "toner disposal" indicators lit, I continued copying, until the indicator "memory overflow/data error" lit - and no more copying was possible. Then I replaced the toner cartridge and the toner disposal tank by original ones. After restarting, all three indicators lit again, no copying is possible. I tried copier off, copier on, unplugging the copier - no result. What should I do? I have good knowledges in repairs, if I receive a step-by step instruction.

    Thank you so much foir replying. However, can you tell me in which section I can find U13? IIn the manual, I do not see any page numbers, only sections, and it takes very long time to look through the manual (I am using MAC OS 10.4, Browser Firefox).

    when trying to enter in maintenance mode (according to 1-4-1, the following happens:

    After starting the copier, I pressed "Start". The display shows "1".
    With the numeric keys, I tried to enter "10871087", but after having entered "10871, "250" appeared. After continuing with"1087", "U000" flashes. When I then enter e.g. "131" and then press the start key, the display changes to "164" and nothing happens.

    The three error indicators still are lit.

    I am sure, I do something wrong, but what?

    Supposed that I would succeed in performing to enter the requested maintenance step, please tell me, which number is the correct one for my case. Certainly, what is necessary, is to reset the memory and/or the data memory. But: I am afraid that I might do the wrong step with a questionable result when I do not perform the right maintenance step.

    Please accept my apologies for asking you again to help me. It seems to me that you have the expertise to bring me to a good and I hope that you don´t give up until I send you a "hurrah" message.

I suggtes check the Service Manual U13x section (page 75 and next), this fault are refer to the toner calibration or reset, after any new inatallation.

    Its so rare. After that the first "maintenance code" is enter, are you selecting the right maintenance item?

can find any code connected with Kyocera mita machines by changing the machine and the error code in the appropriate drop down menus. C710 is identified as:
Description Toner sensor problem
• The sensor output voltage is outside the range of 0.5 to 4.5 V during toner control.
• The toner sensor control voltage cannot be set within the setting range when maintenance item U130 is run. Causes Defective toner sensor. Poor contact of the toner sensor connector terminals. Developer problem.

In your question you mention "Compatible KP23153 Black Toner Cartridge 106153" and that led me to wonder if the compatible cartridge is the cause of your C710 error since that is toner related.
Might be worth trying an original cartridge to see if the error goes away.

How do I clean spilled toner from the inside of a Kyocera mita copier?


Try using a small soft brush to brush it off while using a good hepa filter vacuum to remove the toner at the same time. Wear a good breathing mask to protect your lungs!

press in sequence 10871087...
Go to U251 using cursor keys.
Check and clear PM count(copies since from last PM and PM reset).Press start to display six digit PM cycle. Select "Clear" w/ cursor up/down to clear count back to ..
Go back to U001 and press Start key to exit.

My Kyocera KM-5035 receive error code 4200 in PC printing and in photocopy


Hello, This error C4200 indicates a problem with the main Laser Scanner Unit. The laser scanner functions to image onto the drum in the copier. It scans at a high rate of spped, the error indicates it is in trouble.

The Laser scanner would need to be changed.

It is also possible the main PCB is failing (remote chance)

Find a Kyocera Repair Facilty.
