Question about Washing Machines
I "inherited" this machine a while ago. It's old, Australian made and goes well. I can't work out the function of the compartments in the washing product drawer. Of course no manual and I can't get any sense out of the Hoover UK site, I do not have a "product code" as it is not on the back as far as I can see and not inside the porthole either where they say it is.
There are three compartments. Left and right are troughs and a small boxy middle one with a blue "post" which is probably for fabric conditioner. What is the exact function of these troughs, please?

Its simple. The trough on the left is cold water, and the tough on the right is hot water. If you wash with hot of warm water put your washing detergent in the right trough if you was with cold water only put your detergent in the left trough. As you said the small one in the middle is for softener or conditioner.
