Hi, I took the power supply out and found R14512 colored white from heat.
Do you know where I can get schematics or a service manual? I think the resistor is a 10K, 2W. Any way you can help me would be greatly appreciated!!
Your model has the PTK195 chassis you can get the service manual and parts at the following link. They email the manual and also provide free tech support to help you with diagnosis. http://servicemanuals.vstore.ca/

It is a older RCA---confirm model number and year set made if possible---also some of these had a simple problem where channel number would change but channel would not---let me know if here is your problem--if it is this the set has the Guide Plus Logo on the front of the cabinet.
Your set uses the 195 series chassis, which has separate components for
each of the 6 convergence channels and a separate power supply for the
convergence circuits. If all 3 colors have drastically shifted,
especially around the edges, then chances are your convergence power
supply has stopped working. This is usually caused by the failure of
the STK730-010 switching IC. If one of the colors has dramatically
shifted by itself then something has stopped working on the convergence
board. Sometimes I see CRT coolant leaking onto the convergence board
as the cause. In either case this is something that should be repaired
and realigned by someone experienced with RCA projection TV convergence
Verify that you don't have a stuck channel up button on the panel. Next check the solder connections on the IR receiver (3 pins). Also check the +5 supply for excessive ripple. Any of these can cause odd behavior. Let me know how you make out.
