If the compressor runs continuously is everything freezing? If the compressor is running and it is not cooling the problem could be a refrigerant leak in the system. Visually check points where new compressor was brazed into place. Any sign of oil at these points indicates a leak. How long ago was the compressor replaced?

MY Maytag Fridge Freezer GZ2626GEKB is not working the fan is constanly working and the compressor on works for a couple of seconds before cutting out for about 3 minutes

The first thing to check would be the overload/relay that is plugged to the side of the compressor. You will need to unplug first, remove the the cover plate/board from the bottom rear of the refrigerator (You will need pliers and 1/4'" nut driver). once the cover is removed you will see the round black compressor. The relay/overload is the black box connected to the side, remove it and you may see it has been burn or melted if so replace it and you should be back in business. The new part # for that relay is 67006660.

My refrigerator does'nt defrost

If there is no cooling at all on the fridge section but the freezer works then it is confirmed that the compressor and gas pressure is OK. Now shut off the fridge and leave it powered off while you clean and check the evaporator for frost. If frost is seen it is a good indication as the compressor is working with sufficient gas within.
Now after about 6 hours plug in the fridge to start. Observe cooling to happen in about one hour and ice to from under three hours.
Earlier make sure that the thermostat was set to normal mode for freezer and fridge.
However if ice forms in the freezer then observe the fridge for about 24 hours for cooling to continue and the fridge to cut off . If not the auto defrost timer, or the thermostat must be checked. Frost formation without defrosting could block the air flow and so shut the air passage to the fridge. Also the blower fan must work and if this is not working then the fan can be faulty. Also a fault on the control unit is a suspect to non functioning of any one of these components.
If defrost timer works but frost keeps forming check while the compressor shuts if the heaters are working, check continuity of the heaters.
So try this test using a multi-meter on the defrost timer and the thermostat and make your observations so that we come to the solution.

If there is no cooling at all , before we go further we must confirm the first step of confirming the compressor and gas pressure. So shut off the fridge and leave it off while you clean and check the evaporator for frost.
If there is no ice formation we have a big issue as the compressor and gas must be checked out. If compressor is running check the pressure, get help to test gas pressure. If not you will need to fill up ,If gas pressure is good the possibility of the compressor being inefficient is high. In such a case you must take consensus to estimate and decide, if RPM of motor is low check capacitor.
However if Ice forms then observe the fridge for about 24 hours for cooling to continue and the fridge to cut off . If not the auto defrost timer, or the thermostat must be checked.
If defrost timer works but frost keeps forming check while the compressor shuts if the heaters are working, check continuity of the heaters.
So try this test from the outside and make your observations so that we come to the solution.

Fridge stopped working/ freezer still works great?

the freezer works ok..this is where the cooling unit is..so, if the freezer works ..its not blowing or allowing air to flow into fresh food area..if its missed its defrost..it will not allow air to go into fresh food area and you need to remove panel and defrost coils ..or see if blower is working...check for bad heater or defrost thermostat or what controls defrost ie timer or board

The fridge does not seem to be cold.

if just the refrige isnt cold, check the damper door located between the freezer and refrige compartments and see if its open to let in cold air from freezer,if not sometimes they freeze shut and cant operate with temperature setting changes/if nothings cold, then replace the ptc overload relay located on the compressor body,it just unplugs off the compressor

Fridge freezer not working after power cut

If the fan motor is running at the compressor you should first replace the compressor start relay.
If the fan motor at the compressor is not running replace the defrost control.

Compressor very hot + water leaking

This is not normal. The coolant charge is low which means it leaked out some where. Return it.
