Ecmb fuse blows as soon as i put in a fuse without keys in the ing.

hi, i have seen this problem before, i am a trained ase mechanic who works in a shop weekly. in my case, the suburban was a 91, it started by blowing the fuse randomly, then as it got further along, the ecm b fuse would blow consistantly as you describe. I found the problem to be in the wiring harness between the fuse block and the electronic control module on the pink/black power wire. It had become hot next to the radio and the insulation had melted into a direct ground to the ecm. then as time passed, it melted six other wires till it hit battery power. this is when it shorted the fuse all the time with key in or out. You should start by checking behind the glove box at the wiring harness going into the ecm, if you can get a schematic for the wiring, it would be better advised. See if you can find the Pink and black stripe wires(there maybe several of them as they power everything from egr solenoid to oxygen sensor possibly) and look for melting of the insulation. If you do find this to be the case, technically you should replace the whole harness, but it is possible the cut and splice in new wires. If any other wires are affected, you should replace these also. Check the whole length of the affected wires, they may have shorted all the way up or down. If this sounds like a big deal, it is! so, good luck, hope this helps.

Yardman 17HP lawn tractor blowing fuse when key is turned

Any time a fuse blows there is a direct short to grown. Fuses only work in a hot wire. Some where there is a wire hot wire with a bare spot touching the frame or another ground wire. The seat could have a wire pinched, the motor may have melted a wire or something simple like that. Move all the wire around and see if they may be pinched or touching another wire or it any are melted together.
