Question about Panasonic Workio DP-4530 Copier

2 Answers

When the "add toner" and "toner disposal" lindicators lit, I continued copying, until the indicator "memory overflow/data error indicator" lit - and no more copying was possible. Then I replaced the toner cartridge and toner disposal tank by original ones. All three indicators are still lit, no copying is possible. I tried: copier off, copier on, unplugging the copier: no result. What should I do?

thank you very much! Unfortunately, my question does not refer to a Panasonic copier but to a Kyocera Mita model (KM 1530). Not being familiar with the structure of this Website, I was not able to replace Panasonic by Kyocera in the "Product" line - and I found out the error after having sent my question. Sorry!

If you are able to help me with the Kyocera copier, I would appreciate receiving your assistance. Do not refer to the maintenance manual, as this does not contain any help to my problem. I need a step by step instruction to do the necessary job.

Try to make sure that the paper is at the edge of the tray. Normally when copying papers, if the paper is not on the edge of the tray when you open it, it will not copy or will result in paper jam. Check your copier inside if there are loose papers and make sure that the toner is inserted properly on the system. Observe if the error still persists. There would be a sound that the machine is trying to lift the paper o the copier but it won't do it. The conveyor inside your unit might get rusty or get stuck. If this is the case, then you consult panasonic about this issue.

You have to reset the tonner counter and the drum ..and after that try again ...you will also have to empty the memory so to be able to take jobs ..Im not sure about the reseting procedure..but try to shut it down ..than unplug ...plug it back and press the power button and keep it pressed until it beeps ..will be about 15 seconds or so ..If this will not work ..take a look in the manual and see if they explain the exact procedure..
For other similar models you have to open the front door to get it into service mode..than from the service mode with the arrow select reset ..than one by one reset all ...toner counter ..drum ..and waste tank ..after that will do ..

I found this solution online for you:

Shut off the printer.

  • 2 Hold down the "Continue" button while opening the front door. Then turn on the printer.
  • 3 Keep the Continue button held down until only the "Error LED" is on then release the button. Close the door.
  • 4 The Continue button, Ready/Data, Toner Low, and Load Paper LEDs should all be lit up.
  • 5 Press "Cancel" a few times to cycle through the LEDs until just the "Toner Low LED" is lit.
  • 6 Press and hold the "Continue" button until the LEDs cycle through and release only when the LED stops at Toner Low.
  • 7 Turn the printer off and back on.

My hp laserjet 4 plus tells me i'm out of memory

    Try this:

    20 MEM OVERFLOW
    20 INSUFFICIENT
    MEMORY
Indicates a memory overflow. Too much data is being sent
to the printer and the printer has run out of memory.
Pressing the [Continue]* key causes the printer to print only
the information it received. If the error persists, it may be
necessary to simplify the print job (such as fewer fonts and
less graphics information), or have the customer purchase
    additional memory.

My Dell 1720 copies tells me it has stopped because the photoconductor kit has stopped working. I just replaced everything and keep getting the same error.

If the drum cartridge has not been replaced, it must be replaced before resetting the counter to avoid damaging the printer.
    1. Power off the printer.
    2. Open the front door.
    3. With the front door open, hold down the Continue button while powering on the printer.
    4. Keep holding continue until all lights start flashing then release the button.
    5. Once only the Error light is on, close the front door.
    6. At this point Continue, Ready/Data, Toner Low, and Load Paper should all be lit.
If the previous set of steps did not go as described then do not continue. Please complete the previous set of steps again.
    1. Wait for the printer to make a sound as though it is about to print something. (This may take a minute.)
    2. Press Cancel 4 times SLOWLY (1 second between presses) to cycle through lights until ONLY the Toner Low light is on. (It may take more than 4 presses.)
    3. Press and hold Continue until all the lights cycle through and go back to Toner Low
    4. Cycle power on the printer.
    5. Press and release the Continue button to print out the settings page. Under Cartridge Information it should read Photoconductor: 0K

Here's something to try, it's actually the drum reset and if it's the drum that needs replacing then this will get you going again. Just remember that if you reset this that eventually the drum will start having quality issues because you will be using it past its end of life cycle getting more use out of it then normal and it won't hurt the machine either... hope this helps and if so, please mark Fixya

    1) Turn off the power using the switch on the back of the printer. Open the front door of the printer.

    2) Hold Continue button down, power on the printer, and continue to holding Continue down until the LEDs begin to flash. When the LEDs start to flash, release Continue button. The LEDs will continue flashing until only Error LED will be lit.

    3) Close the front door. Continue, Ready/Data, Toner Low and Load Paper LEDs should be lit.

    4) Wait till the printer completes the POST process. POST is complete when fan noise and rollers stop. After POST wait for 5 seconds

    5) Press Cancel button 4 times slowly until the Toner Low LED is lit. This is the procedure resetting the counter.

    6) Press and hold Continue until all LEDs begin to cycle in sequence, then release Continue. Now only the Toner Low LED will be lit.

    7) Cycle the power of the printer (turn it off and then back on).

    Ricoh ft3713 toner overflow

remove the toner bottle, open the back cover and look for the small DIP Switch turn on and off, by doing this you are forcing the machine to come out from add toner condition. Then you do 20 sky shoot.

Xerox XD130df empties toner back into cartridge overflow

that really sounds like a defective toner cartridge. Either there was no developer in the cartridge or the metering blade that limits the ammount that gets onto the roller is bad.
Has to be the toner cartridge. Unfortunatly that may have also ruined the drum and cleaner within the drum cartridge. Return them for an exchange.
The reason it is running and running is that it is trying to read a patch that is developed on the drum and add toner to make a dark enough copy. And that definatly is not happening.
If the laser was not turning on, the machine would come up with a L something code. Besides if the laser was not comming on, the paged would be blank.
You can pretty much eliminate everything but the toner cartridge.
