    The batteries on the MX3200 Keyboard and Mouse were all changed.

    The mouse will connect and is operational.

    The keyboard will not connect, is locked and will not respond to any key strokes other then the sleep key.

Hi: Just got off the phone with a Jason at Logitech Customer Service. The "locked" keyboard after battery replacement is a known error/bug with the MX 3200 and 1 other keyboard they make. The solution is very easy (amazing). If you have NOT installed the Logitech Setpoint software that manages all the extra buttons on the keyboard,
Do This:
Press "Ctrl" + "Alt" + "F12",
Then the "Connect" button on the USB RECEIVER,
Then press the red "Connect" button on the back of the keyboard,
Then Press "esc"
That will do it.
The keyboard goes into the encrypted mode with battery change. Perhaps changing batteries one at a time, like they suggest to keep the LCD settings will avoid this?

If you have already installed the Setpoint Software, then pressing Ctrl, Alt, F12 will pop-up a box asking if you want to come out of encryption mode, I'm told.

Good luck,

Rob

Worked first time
Thanks!

Bcskier solution was right on, except I had to hit "CTRL" "ALT" "F12" combo three or four times. Once was not enough.

Thanks for solution!

If you do the vest solution, and you've got to replace the batteries again, then replace them one by one in this order

1 2
-|=====| -|=====|
3 3
-|=====| -|=====|

You will keep your time and date settings too andit stays connected while you are changin the bateries

Make sure you have fresh batteries in the mouse and keyboard:

Plug your transmitter unit into an USB port,push the connect button on the TX, then push in on the connect button on the mouse and the keyboard. Also, install the cd that came with the KB/Mouse, to gain access to the features.
