WI-FI not working

If your computer came with Vista there are no drivers for your wireless card. You can partition your hard drive into 2 logical drives and load Vista on one and XP on the other in a dual boot configuration. Then you will need to purchase an external USB wireless thumb adapter for accessing your wireless networks when you are using the XP operating system. When you boot in Vista your computers wifi will work fine. The hardware manufacturers are being forced by Microsoft not to release drivers for XP for new equipment under threat to pull licensing for Vista. This is the only way to get around it, unless you are capable of writing your own .inf driver files for the hardware. If you need my help feel free to contact me and I will help you further. This is Microsoft's way of strong arming everyone to migrate to Vista. I run dual boot configurations on all my equipment because some of my expensive tech software only runs in the XP environment. Vista is a powerful operating system if you have the equipment designed for it. It's a shame the removed so much of the backward compatability though. My e-mail address is [email protected] if you need more help send me your number and I will call you for free to discuss your options in more detail. Please take the time to rate this fixya and I will provide you with free support whenever you need it directly.
