Have you spilled something into the keyboard?

It seems to be the time to take the computer to a qualified technician, so that he/she can order a replacement keyboard, and install it.

Z key typing the letter by itself on dell insperion 700 m

If the Z-Key is typing on its own on your laptop then that leads to three possiblities:
1) Dust is on the keyboard - Purchase a can of pressurized air and blow out the keyboard. Start from one side and blow everything out the the opposite side. Go across in the same direction multiple times to get everything.
2) Something spilled on the keyboard and is causing the key to stick - If you are comfortable doing this shut down your laptop, flip it over and locate the keyboard keys (usually indicated by a keyboard icon or the letter K) and remove only them, pry the keyboard gently from the bottom side and easily pull it out, you will see the cable connected which you should unlock and pull gently. You may then very carefully remove the key (do not force it too much or you break the flimsy plastic clips that hold it in place). Once the key is up take Q-tips and rubbing alcohol and thoroughly scrub the entire exposed board. Carefully replace the key, plug in the cable and lock it, and then replace the keyboard into its location. Screw in the keyboard from the bottom side and restart your computer and see if the problem is resolved.
3) They keyboard is malfunctioning and you can search Craig's List or EBay for a replacement keyboard. The above solution has the process for removing the keyboard.

How can i remove numlock

Check your keyboard and find where num lock is written and press again. Something you might have to press fn,if it is written with other letter or command.

I have an Asus X58L laptop, For some reason there is a letters lock and I do not know how to unlock it. So if I press letter u it gives me 4, if I press p it gives me - and so on, unless I press Fn button

It sounds like you have the num lock switched on, most laptop keyboards are too small to have a separate numeric keypad so use the letter keys on the right side of the keyboard for this. (you should note numbers as well as the expected letters on the face of these keys).

To turn off the num lock, hold down the Fn key and press Ins. (located top right of the keyboard).

My Toshiba Satellite Pro A300-GR laptop wont type the letters o l k i and numbers eight and nine as well as comma - stop - down arrow not working - right arrow not working and delete key not working - also...

You have Number Lock set on your PC - Have a look for a key top right hand side, it will have something like NumLck written on the KEY - you may need to use that Key in combination with the FN key - bottom left of keyboard - there should be a light somewhere on the keyboard which goes on/off as you toggle the NumLck key. You should see different coloured numbers on the key s*()UIOPJKLM These are the numbers and symbols that will be displayed when the NumLock is used

Hi, I've got 2 eeepcs, with identical problems,

When the RH side of the keboard types numbers instead of letters then the Num Lock (number lock) key has been pressed.
Press the Num Lock Key again to return to letters again, usually this is usually done by pressing the Fn key plus and probably the Scroll keys, this key will be also marked NumLk, and there will be a LED light that will indicate when the number lock is on.

How I could put the spanish alfabet in my toshiba key board?

the letter "ñ" is written on a english keyboard as follows:

while holding down the <alt> key also press on your numeric key pad (not the numbers on top) "0241" that creates the "ENIE." Have you thought about using the multi-language capability in Microsoft Office? That's assuming you are using MS Office 2003 or later.
Best of Luck!

Letter writting problems

Do you use a laptop or some sort of keyboard with a mouse pad? My son used to have that problem when he would type as his thumb would accidentally hit the mouse pad and move the cursor. We solved it in a very low tech way by taping a notecard over the mouse pad when he was using the computer. Depending on the manufacurer, there are ways to turn off the mouse pad while continuing to use a mouse.
