Grand daughter pushed too many buttons and machine appears to be locked. There is a key symbol and "time" on the display panel. How do we unlock it and switch it back on? Any help you can give will be gratefully received.
I just fixed this problem for my parents. All you have to do is hold the up and down arrows that sorround the power buttom for 3 seconds at the same time and the key symbol should dissapear and make a slight beep. Then you should be able to use the heater as normal =]

This may help: Setting time/date: move switch on top right of unit to the clock symbol, Y (year) appears. Change with +/- buttons then press Yes button, M (month) appears. Again use +/- buttons to change and Yes button to accept. Carry on through the Day and Clock settings in the same way. Slide switch to whatever you want to set up next i.e. CH (central heating) or HW ( hot water) setting up as before. First item to appear when setting up switching times is first on, then first off, then second on.... and so on. Once you get started you will probably see the logic is fairly straightfoward. Pete
Basically plug in the power supply. Before you even try to turn it on press and hold in the lock button for two seconds. What has likely happened is that the lock was enabled and then the unit turned off. You need to unlock it before turning it back on.
Your screen may be locked out. Read instruction on locked screen sometimes people lock it by mistake. All Honeywell tstats are different the way they lock. Push mode and and up and down buttons at the same time. You may have to go into it to change parameters. If this does not work bad Tstat.
Go to Advance Functions Page 23 of your manual. You have to turn Option 0160 to "on" or "4"
1) Press System 2)Press and Hold blank center key until the display changes. 3) Change settings as required (Cursor to option 0160, then hit other cursor to change from 0 to 4) 4)Press Done to exit and save changes
is there a padlock on the screen? If so push the up, down, and mode buttons at the same time to unlock it. Your next choice is to take the stat off the wall and let it sit for about 10 min. then put it back up. Or configuration is in lock mode
O.K If it just the child lock that has been activated then press both the UP and DOWN buttons together for 3 seconds. The lock indicator light should then go out. If there is no power at all it may be something more sinister.
