Laptops - Access Bios Settings Key

The most common Access Bios key is the "DEL" button or "F2". This depends on the laptop model, however, and can be confusing if you do not know which key to press.

Laptops Access Bios Settings Key

Check the function keys (F1, F2, F3, etc) for a "wireless" icon. Then when you have found it, hold the "Fn" key (lower left hand side of the keyboard) first and try toggling the function key until a menu comes up or the wireless starts to work.

Use the hot keys on you keyboard when you plug it in your laptop. like the fn key on you keyboard hold it and find which f key is the one for video like f1 f2 f3 ect.

Your function keys are usually located on the top row and are labeled F1,F2,F3 and so forth. The function of those keys depends on what program you are currently operating in ie: Windows, Office , Word, Excel or any number of other programs.

F1

Almost always used as the help key, almost every program will open the help screen when this key is pressed.

Windows Key + F1 would open the Microsoft Windows help and support center.

Open the Task Pane.

F2

In Windows commonly used to rename a highlighted icon or file.

Alt + Ctrl + F2 opens a new document in Microsoft Word.

Ctrl + F2 displays the print preview window in Microsoft Word.

F3

Often opens a search feature for many programs including Microsoft Windows.

Shift + F3 will change the text in Microsoft Word from upper to lower case or a capital letter at the beginning of every word.

F4

Open find window.

Repeat the last action performed (Word 2000+)

Alt + F4 will close the program currently active in Microsoft Windows.

Ctrl + F4 will close the open window within the current active window in Microsoft Windows.

F5

In all modern Internet browsers pressing F5 will refresh or reload the page or document window.

Open the find, replace, and go to window in Microsoft Word.

Starts a slideshow in PowerPoint.

you need to dowload the hotkey utlitlity application from vedor site.

Was there any liquids spilled inside the keyboard? You may need to have the keyboard replaced as they start to fail in due time.

Q: How can we save our progress in the game?

A: You can access the save menu by pressing the F3key on your keyboard. In the save menu screen, all you need to do is click in one of the available game slots. The next time you play, the introduction menu will be changed and you will be able to load back your saved game(s).


Macintosh Specific

Q: We do not seem to be able to use the F1, F2, F3 keys mentionned in the instructions. What is the problem?

A: If you have a MacBook or a slim Apple keyboard, you need to hold down the fn key on your keyboard in order to use the F1 through F15 keys. Alternatively, you can use the q, w, and e keys in place of F1, F2, and F3.

Most keyboards now a days usually tell you on screen whether or not the caps lock is on but its possiblbe that when you press the key yowards the left or right hand side a light goes on or possibly in the top center if this is not the case then you may have a faulty keyboard.
