What you ask is nearly impossible without knowing for sure what kind of chainsaw you want help with. That being said, most chainsaws have a bar that the chain runs on. They are not called blades on a typical saw. To replace the chain or the bar you have to loosen the two nuts that clamp the bar tight. It helps if you loosen the adjustment screw on the front as well. The clamp is also the side cover for the clutch area. So the two nuts that hold the bar tight also hold the right side cover of the saw. To get the chain off you have to remove that cover even if you don't completely remove the bar.
