If the alarm is an after factory installation, turn the ignition to start and then to accessory and the alarm will deactivate and you should then be able to start the vehicle

2003 Honda civic alarm fob not unlocking car

Usually when you change a Fob battery you have to re-sync it to the car. Some cars have you lock and unlock the drivers door with the key.
Should be in your owner's manual.

Key fob wont re set on my ssan yan rexton

I recently changed the battery on my key fob for my ssanyong rexton. I then did the following for the key fob to make it work. 1. Enter vehicle and close all doors.

2. Put seatbelt on (or clip it into the buckle) to shut the warning buzzer off.

3. Put key in ignition, turn to run position but don't start it.

4. Press and hold both buttons on key fob until red light on fob stays on. Then let go of both buttons. Then pressed the alarm button then the panic button, somthing like that. To be fair the button sequence after the red light came on is a bit vague. The alarm was blaring so i was happy when it just stopped.

Gemini 7200 car alarm replaced battery fob not working no tx to alarm. please help and many thanks. natec

The problem seems to be the key fob on these alarms goes out of sink with the alarm unit (thats if you have changed the battery and its not responding), but 7200/7300 have the ability to "self learn" the new frequency your key fob has changed to .I dont know why they change frequency but they do.I have had to do this a few times myself. if you have a manual for this alarm it tells you how to do it in there but you will need the round key that comes with the alarm that fits in the top of the alarm unit (siren). Anyway to do it : 1.using the key switch alarm off. 2. switch on again. 3. turn ignition for 1 second then off. 4. push the key fob.within 30 secs. 5. switch dim dip (6) back to off. if it dosent work repeat.(dim dips are in the siren where the wire goes in) and if the alarm goes of while your doing it dont worry but just try and be quick. Hope this helps. Chris 13.

Key thob has stopped working, I have changed the battery but still broke, I am looking for the fuse for the central locking but cannot find it, saab 9-3 linear 2003

Saab's have very specific steps that you must follow when you change the batteries in your key fob. You might try these steps to re-sync your key fob to your security system....

If the battery has been changed outside the
car and the car is locked, proceed as follows:
1 Unlock the front left door with the traditional
key. If the car has a car alarm, this
will be tripped.
2 Open the door and insert the remote
control into the ignition switch. If the car
has a car alarm, this will be silenced.
The remote control and receiver unit are
now synchronized.

Central locking not working

Assuming that the battery mentioned above is the Key Fob battery?

The usual solution to the key fob not working the Central Locking after battery replacent  is to remove the car battery feed fuse   to the Central Locking (or disconnect the car battery )  for 10 minutes...replace it..... then it should work OK

note: If you disconnect the Car Battery then make sure you have the radio security code.
If not then POST A NEW QUESTION quoting your radio Serial Number (usually begins with M * * * *  * * )
