IF you mean you have connected to your WIFI router, but when you walk past your step to your garden you loose the signal.
This is just about the range your router transmits to.
It all depends on how many walls the signal has to travel.
You can either move the router as close as possible to your garden or upgrade to a more powerfull router, you may be able to buy a better ariel/antenna for the router to increase the range
