I CAN NOT GET MY HP-DESKJET 3915 PRINTER TO PRINT I HAVE GONE THRU THE INSTALATION PROCESS TWICE AND STILL NOT PRINTING!!! CAN YOU HELP ME???

    OK,MAANITA;.I/M NOT COMPUTER SAVEY, OLDER GREW UP WITH TYPEWITER OK, LAST SUMMER BOUGHT AS COMPLETE UNIT COMPAQ COMPUTER WITH HP PRINTER( HP-DESKJET 3915) RECENTLY BOUGHT A USED ALL-JN-ONE PRINTER I TRIED TO ADD . THIS IS WHERE I MESSED UP , WHEN I WENT IN ADD PRINTER & FAXES, NEED STEP BY STEP SOLUTION PLEASE!!! THANKS, TOMMY COMPUTER;

    All you need to do is to check the cable which it is connected with the computer

    Steps to follow:
    1. Click on start and select control panel then double click on the icon Printer and faxes once this icon opens then check for the printer listed in the box.

    1. you have point the mouse and right click the current printer which is physically connected to the computer, then you will get a drop down list on which you have to click or select the option which says (set as default printer in the drop down list)

    you will be able to print fine if anymore instructions required further please post message.

My Deskjet 3915 has gone over half a year without use and will not print. The paper is fed through and the ink cartridge moves back and forth, but no ink comes out. Any ideas?


You have committed the cardinal sin of inkjet printers, lack of use. The printer responds by letting the ink dry up in the feeder tubes and the printhead nozzels.
While it is possible to repair, time and dollars and cents (sense) say "Hey, it's time to buy a new printer!
Next time, if possible, print at least 1 page a couple of times a month. A pain, but it works.

Hp 3915 printer won't print word docs but will print all else


check MS Word's print setup (File -> Print Setup) and make sure it's set to the correct printer.

Failed to Print error


clean the buffer before fiving print and then restart the system. If the problem occurs same then reinstall the printer driver and then try to print

Printer won't print


it could be a vitsa compatiblity problem,most likely u need to check and make sure its your default printer,if it is check print head on cartridge,if it sound like its printing and nothing shows up it the print head,try new cartridge.
